| hi, done 3000 km. on sunday . noticed few things on the way (bangalore-thirthalli_bangalore about 850 km ) 1. A/c seemed to be insufficient temp was around 38deg may be split roof top a/c is the solution . 2. ocassionalli water drops would fall at the legs space of driver and co passenger ( could be overloaded A/c ?) 3.found a screw below the steering not sure from where it came off ? 4.got mileage of 17 km with driver and co passenger and about 12 with 6 people while returning. 5.the ride was very comfortable inspite of the bad roads never felt tired at any point . |

| Senior - BHPian | If the sun is facing the windscreen, yes the AC does seem to be mild. Perhaps a windscreen sunfilm will help. There shouldnt be a problem for the rear seats though. Quote:

Secondly, if your calculation is correct then maybe you drove with a very light foot with extremely well controlled gearing, braking, acceleration, speeds, etc. Please do share how one can achieve such a phenomenal mileage which is in Indica diesel & swift ddis territory. ![]()

| yes my calculation is almost correct .. I thought it could also be because of the altitude difference between the two places , my average speed was 80 km. I had done a check for the empty holes but could not find it , anyway i have preserved it ... |

| BHPian | Try out the Xtramile premium, suprised with the FE I got and filled up again, and yet again this time it looks above the average 10-12 kpl mark that comes out with the other brands/combinations of fuel - and someone who is addicted to turbo whine is ain't a light foot either.

| Hi guys, just finished with one more trip with my safari, this time i wanted to check the fuel efficiency without any errors. got the vehicle filled to the top of the fuel tank with turbojet , filled it again to the top to check the actaul fuel consumption . go 13.8 km /lit with A/C(level 3) all the time, 4 people road condition 70 % highway , top speed during the trip 125km/hr avg about 75 km/hr Noticed few things . 1. during traffic jams/ dead slow moving traffic burning smell from the bonnet not sure if it is anything to do with ac it will remain only for a minute or two.( noticed it 3 times in the last 2.5-3 k run) 2.water drops /dew on the bottom outer surface of the fron glass (around the wipers ) - is it a leakage from A/C |
