congrats on the verna.
its very steady at 110kmph on stock tyres. things get interesting at 140kmph. so am curious to know what happens at that speed with your tyre upgrades.
I'm willing to wait till you break in the car.

also, the next time you're in cochin, will you please PM me? I'd like to see the car with the upsize, if its ok with you.

as for posting the pics,
click on post reply, scroll down the page, click on manage attachments, browse for your pic, upload, the post reply.

there is also a thread on how to post pics on T BHP.

@mobike- viva CRDI rock solid at 150? what tyres are you running on? any suspension mods?

I have done 140+ km/h in my CRDI viva and didnt feel that I was doing 140+ km/h. I have upgraded my tyre to 185, Michelin, tubeless with alloy.

So I was under the impression that Verna CRDI can easily do that without any instability. But today someone in office was discussing about instability of Verna above 110 km/h. Surprisingly saw a similar post here.

So I was wondering whether Verna is not that stable above 110 km/h speed?

you will be surprised to know i am on stock tyres and suspension and my car has run 23K till date. I regularly do 150+kmph at every given chance on the highway and like carlover mentioned, never felt any nervousness ( especially till 150kmph).

At 140kmph,it is absolutely rock solid and you feel as if your cruising and no high tension which you typically get as speed increases.

I just make sure that my tyres are slightly over inflated for highway drives ( 32psi on all fours) and this indeed makes a difference in accelaration and stability. Though the ride takes a bit of a dip

I was under the impression that the dynamics of the viva CRDI was similar to the accent CRDI which I had driven for 80000km. the accent felt very safe at 120, but 150? maybe the viva is a completely different beast.

BTW the verna is absolutely fine till 140.
instability at 110 is an exaggeration. unless its a rough surface(which affects pretty much every sedan to some extent)

Around late 05 or 06, i don't remember when exactly, Viva got a different suspension, much stiffer and an anti-roll bar was added which was not available in older versions of accent crdi and viva crdi. It made a huge difference.
