Congrats, Hydra. Do u mind telling me how much you got for the OE alloys?

Also, not having a reverse gear lock is not a problem, you can never slot reverse from 5th. Try it with the engine off, and you will know. You can go from reverse to 5th, though, but who in his sane mind will do it(and I dont think the reverse gear lock will help in that case anyway).

@benny, sB, abhilash_iv, kuttappan, thanks

@kuttappan, I've PMd you. That info about not being able to shift into the reverse from 5th is a relief!

@SumitB, the ride is definitely taut with 50 profiles on 16". Not exactly comfort oriented. But good enough for me. I just need to slow down a bit on bad roads. Can't wait to see how well the car handles at good speeds.

Congrats Hydra! I knew it was a long time coming but missed out on the thread when you had posted it here. Am sure Nikkibike could teach you a thing or two about the swift's handling

Looking forward to audisioning the ICE on the Swift (I presume you had planned for this after your wedding?).

Car looks great in the White (my new favourite colour on the Swift) and thats some beautiful alloys you got my friend.

@riju, thank you! Engine-vengine and me don't go too well together (I'm totally dumb there), but a CAI is definitely on the cards

@JK, thank you! Wind - no. As JayD said, I'll use the K&N Apollo I took off the Palio. TC and me? No way, Jose! FFE maybe in a year (or maybe just a Remus end-can heh, heh). And you need to grow two small horns on your head, so people know what you're saying, in context, you devil, you! What money is extra will go for damping first. ICE is still priority!

@FERRO, PM coming your way.

@Quicksilver, thanks, buddy! Yep, I need to take classes from Nikki for sure! Yep, the install will be a while after the wedding. Since I'll be visiting your city quite a bit now, we can catch up on ICE more often.

Treat her well and i m sure she will return the same.

OT: As it is your own car you did not need to blank out the number plate IMHO

It seems you haven't got the idea behind masking the numbers.

Maybe thats because i am new here.
If I remember correctly It has been said in some posts by the mods to mask the numbers of cars you don't own.
I believe i have read through the announcements section.
In case I had missed something please enlighten me.

@Motorhead... Other than the reasons you have mentioned above, there is another valid one.
That is; Many a times, our rides are souped up and becomes attracted to crowds and cops. So, when someone needs to trace it, an internet connection is all what is needed. So, why keep it easy. They'll look for other ways, but this practise is just to make it a bit difficult.

Congrats on the new car Hydra

Could you PM me the details of the guy you talked to at the SBI branch? The branch name and if possible that guy's name. Yes, I do mean the SBI branch, the one that gave you the shaft
