Default Finally got my DZire Zdi..

So I finally received my DZire Zdi. It's a clear beige color machine. I had booked it 2 days after the launch.

I received a call from dealer on Saturday but could not take the delivery that day and Sunday was closed. So I took it on Monday afternoon( In Delhi). I asked for a good 35% NCB credit from my old policy. (I did not sell the old car however, and reinsured the old car with a new ICICI policy online). My bad luck, I missed the old maruti prices by just a week.

Initial ODO was 40 and I have only driven 20 after that to back home. Will update with more experiences after I drive some distance.

The diesel is quite responsive, however I did not get a chance to drive above 60, the traffic was bad. Anyway, I plan to follow the initial run in schedule for the gear and RPMs.

I am wondering if gear lock is something which should be installed given it has central locking and iCATS. Any thoughts? If yes, which bradn is good.

Any other suggestions to add to the accessories list?

Congrats Saurabh ... you've gone in for the high end version. How much did it cost on-road?

Personally, I don't think a gear lock is necessary but that's for you to decide ... what amount of security gives you that peace of mind

Enjoy your ride and be generous with your pics posted here.

Dont worry buddie,Most of the people going in for the dzire would get it in the new price.Only lucky few who got it last month would have got it for the old price.Still enjoy her and take good care. Please post some pics BTW.

Congrats saurabh.
If you are parking the car outside your residence and if you feel its not secure then go for gear lock.

Welcome to the club of ZDI. Please post some pictures.

I had booked the clear beige you have purchased, but later changed it to silver due to its early availability.

Congrats Saurabh,

Get the gear lock installed, only pin type will fit in properly. I have posted a better pic for your message on my SX4 thread.

Hello there. Thank you every one for the good wishes.

I plan to get the Xenos/Autocop pin type gear lock installed this weekend. I liked the way xenos one is installed on rkbharat's SX4.

And yes I'll post some pics as well this weekend..
