Default New Innova V

Hello Everyone,

It has been a very long time since I last posted. Have been extremely busy at work.. Could only manage logging on and reading posts in the past quite a few months :(

In the past few months, I have managed to convince my parents to come over from Hyderabad and stay with us. Actually, we have a young little daughter who did all the convincing part .

But, one of the requirements it brought up was the requirement for a larger car that we could use for family outings. My faithful and dependable Wagon R had to make way for something bigger.

Found that the only vehicle that fit my requirements:
1. Should be possible for my wife to drive as easily (and without having to worry about reliability issues) as it would be for me
2. Should have enough space for 4 adults + lots of luggage + 1 kid (both my Baleno and Wagon R are a little tight fit for 4 adults and luggage)
3. Should be diesel
4. Should not lose value the day after I purchase

was an Innova.

And yesterday, took delivery from Ravindu motors Bangalore.

A Simpson Red 7 seater Innova V.

Seems like a fantastic vehicle so far. Plan to visit Ooty over this weekend (from Bangalore). Let's see if the innova can re-ignite my love for travelling!

Cheers,
KG

kgc_cool: Buy should be spot on for your requirements and it should be a cinch for your wife to drive. Does it have rear parking sensors? Would be a useful feature in Bangy.. Enjoy the ride.

With your requirements in mind, an SUV would be the best choice and you have done exactly the same. Congrats on your new buy. Drive safe. Also upload the travelogue of your trip to Ooty.

Do post some pics.

Congrats! Simpson RED is excellant color on Innova. V spec is very nice one too lot of goodies. Only Safari and Innova I could think off based on your requirement of 4 adult and lot of luggage but refinement and reliability it has to be Innova any day! I hope TATA will come up with better Safari ( already they are almost there since new safari 2.2 is tuned excellant now, only years we can see best SAFARI ) soon so I can pick up that side by side parked with my innova!

Regards,

Ravi.

Sir, Innova is not an SUV. It classifies as an MPV.
Do post some pics.

Excellent choice! I would have loved to buy this car, only if it were slightly cheaper. The G4 comes to around 9.7L OTR in Delhi :(

Congrats Buddy!!Join de Club.Have a Red Innova too.
The Innova really looks great in Simpson Red.Take it out in the fields and you surely will now.The "V" trim is surely worth the buy with abs and other safety features.I have sure done a few very good high speed corners. Thanks to the abs.Run in the car properly. Its a Beast and needs neat taming.:-)
All the best with the new car.

Congreatulations on your buy. Excellent choice to go in for the V variant - the extra features are well worth the extra amount you pay over the G1 and G4 models.

Cheers!
