| Hi Bhpians, First off, Team-Bhp has enhanced my views & learnings of automobiles. so thanks a million. After getting a job, was planning for vehicle upgrade (was driving a bajaj caliber). Planned for an Enfield (reasons best known to myself) At the exact moment, met Torque Guru through a Mutual Acquaintance. And he took me for a spin on his red babe and as they say, i understood power (self realization time) Well, immediately shifted my decision to buying a car and so shifted my budget from Rs 80,000 to Rs. 5 Lakh overnight (go figure) Then started hearing about this car from the Hyundai Stable which was delivering awesome power but was not well known. Researched around and found the Getz. Just fell in love with the look of the car in comparison with the other hatchbacks (IMHO) So went ahead and booked myself a Hyundai Getz CRDI GVS (Midnight Grey) on 24th April,08. Was told the car would be delivered only by August. But got a surprise call from dealer (Advaith, Residency Road, Bangalore) that my car had arrived (May 20th). So basically got my finances together and took the delivery on June 14th. Experience I know that a Car is bought after much thinking in terms of VFM, Mileage etc etc but i just had one thing in my mind " FUN " and oh yeah budget heh heh. The Car is a rocket. Period. Put the Monster in first gear and the tachy needle just jumps and the speed hits 20 Kms/Hr then (the fun part) you shift to second gear, watch the tach needle moving from 2,000 to 2,500 to 3,000 then you start hearing a hissss sound and the turbo kicks in. I was literally pushed back into my seat. Hit fourth gear and was at 160/Km in no time. Had to take toruqeguru out for a spin. We hit the Bellary Road at 2 AM. And the face of a guy with a 2 L, 115 Bhp with free flow etc etc when the turbo kicked in kind of made me understood what a Getz CRDI was. Torquey looked like a kid who got a gift for his b'day. Also, did nandi hills today with all its twists and turns and for me, it handled like a dream. yes, i know no ABS, drab interiors, rear defogger, high price etc etc is a dampener but seriously this car is FUN, raw pure FUN, and i for a fact never put a price for FUN. Modifications till Date Footwear Profile - 205/50 R 15 (Nankang NS-2) No issues at all. Slight Stiffness Alloys - P&W (5 Spoke) Super Tyre Tech, JqC Road Proposed I.C.E Spoiler Fog Lights Art leather interior Again, a million thanks to TG, Djay bhai, Undead, Anju and fellow bhpians for your support Peace

| Congrats lionheart. Go easy on her during the first 1000 kms. The car handled like a dream for you because you upsized the tires. I am still under stock tires and on fast corners i get the screech sound from the tires. I have booked for G-Sport art leather costing Rs.6000. What are you planning for ?

| BHPian | Aha,lot of GetZ Crdi in our Forum now-a-days. Hyundai India must give a warm Cheers/appreciation to our entire Team-Bhp guys promote the car well. In chennai,A huge No:of people even don't know GetZ has Diesel engine variant. I recommended two of my colleagues and due to the money constarints they have bought MidNight Grey GVS 1.1 optional instead of Crdi. Whenever i see, they thank me for taking them a decision on buying a good car. Now I am the Automobile consultant in my office and planning to get some consultant fees too ![]()

| vkochar, you are to the point, the hiss is addictive thanks vabs78, i think me,you, anju, undead & djay99 is all i could think up for getz crdi owners. liberal, the fog lamps will clinch the look (debating on dealer fitted or aftermarket) TG dawg, it was amazing our "test drive" , knees still shaking jesal, i was sceptical on those alloys but went for it and dont regret it anymore. alloys - 21,000 (set of 5)
