But Like I said, my idea "is and was" not to compare the vtec with the RS or the "x" with the "y". My point was just that for a 150bhp turbo charged petrol vehicle the performance is good but not impressive. That's all!

I hope you will take this in the right spirits!

Maybe dude. Not too sure. But then you just maybe right.
Obviously the PTWR matters a lot. Thats Why i am planning to loose weight

There are drivers who can clock it much better than what these magazine have done i guess..
also dont forget that the skoda engine has been detuned
and last but not the least, same engine(-100 BHP) powered Audi TT
regards.

Ashish the 250 bhp audi tt is the new one the 3.2
The earlier one was 180 bhp
and then new audi a4 is 275 on 3.2 while the earlier audi a4 was 160 bhp with the same 1.8T engine

Even if you have a 300 bhp skoda, 0-100 I doubt if you can out beat a Vtec. In a quarter mile chances are bleak but maybe just maybe, the reason is very simple. Its not about developing the power, its about laying it down ( not to mention about PTWR).
I have had plenty of 0 - 100 runs in my Vtec against several RS'. From those experiences, I can tell you that it isn't a match. The Vtec is close, very close at time, but the RS is ahead. Both drivers being equal, the RS beats the Vtec in a 0 - 100 or 1/4 mile. Coming to your points on weight, the RS also has a superior power to weight ratio.

a vtec was 106 bhp at around 985kg if m not wrong
so that is a healthy 107.61 bhp per tonne
while the vRs is 150 bhp at 1350 kg
which is 111.11 bhp per tonne.

SO unless the weight of the vTec is less, the PTWR of the vRs is better.
The company (Skoda Auto claims a 0-100 in the vRs at 8.4 Seconds)
