Hi All
Alas Got My New Ford Fiesta Zxi-Morello.
It all started with my friend banging my OHC.
I Had to get a Car in a 6-8L budget.I always wanted the Swift and Went to book a Zxi.The waiting time and non availability were a deterrent.
Moreover this buy was unplanned as earlier this year we had got the Innova and the Wagon R.The idea of Shifting from OHC to Swift was causing a little confusion at home.Uncle and Dad were not for swift due to their own reasons.Had to get a car at the earliest.Was looking at U-VA and Palio,but nothing was to my taste.
We all decided that a Sedan should be bought but were still confused.
Options were NHC,SX4,Aveo,Fiesta.
We already have an NHC and dint wanna get another and as the new model is to be launched it was a deterrent.
SX4 was a personal no-no,find the back of the car wierd.
Aveo has a nice feel but for the bad network and there uneducated sales men.
The other option i had was The Fiesta.Went for the TD and they told us that the new model was about to be launched and offered us heavy discounts on the old model.
The Sales Men kept chasing me and dad.We felt that waiting for the new one and deciding would be a wise option.
We waited and got to TD it on the first day.Were a little sceptical about our decision but always had a good rapport with MPL Ford.
Way back when Escort was launched ours was the fifteenth Escort on the road and they kept calling us for TD's and other events.
We were looking at the Sxi or the Sport.The Sales guy told us that it would take a month to deliver the Sport.We later shifted to the idea of getting an Sxi but felt that we would be using the car mainly in the city as we use the Innova during long distance trips.Hence Shifted to the idea of getting the Zxi,around this time i also started reading the audio threads on Team-Bhp and all set to get it iced to my custom needs.
Waiting to "ICE ma ride"

Got a 15k discount and went in for a fancy number preference and landed with 9394.Got sports pedals,fog lamps,neck cushions and pillows as accesories.Like the complete change of the light console when i ordered for the fog lamps.
The car got delivered yesterday and is a beauty in all respects.Does justice to City driving and does prove its worth as a 101 BHP motor.
The Console,Distance to Empty Feature and the dash layout are impressive.Good quality interiors and aircraft lighting system really offer a nice welcome to the car.

Still Haven't decided on the ICE that i plan to fix.Was speculating on single din hu or double din.Now i've decided on single din hu but the confusion is which one and speakers whether to go for boston or jbl.
Went to a shop in GP Road but couldnt decide and wwas speculating whether with b&w or grey.the price difference is huge but i don't want to get cheated with fake.

The spin hasn't been much until now.5kms or so.The odo reads 50.
The booklet instructs to wait until 1500 Kms for a run in and i'm trying to stick to it.
i'm going Fida.

congrats manjith, its a great car with utterly smooth and refined engine. The high speed stability is best in class. Have driven a lot of this car at speeds around 150kph and it feels rock stable.
and looks quite agressive now after its revised looks..

hi all,
the colour of the car is morello.its a deep shade of violet.looks slightly different when compared to the previous shade.I'm loving it.The interiors look nice and well co-ordinated.Haven't sat in the back seat yet so no comments on back seat comfort.very well laid out dash.

Manjith Congrats !! Good choice!! Zxi doesnt come wid fog lamps?? I had gone through the brochure and it said no fog lamps in ZXI ! Kindly post the pics soon !!

no buddy the zxi does not come with fog lamps,i think the previous model did have the fog lamps and am really sorry i'm not in a position to post any pics as am away now.the car is at home.

The ice for the beast is going through a big thought process,so please bear with me.

Hi all,
Alas today was one lazy day and then i felt i should do justice to those who read this thread and planned to click photos of my latest ride..THE ALL NEW FIESTA ZXI..(sounds like an ad)..

The mileage as of now isn't very satisfactory,hoping it'll improve over a course of time.The car's pick up is really good and you can feel the power.
Requires a bit of shifting to keep pace.

Please post your comments.I've mainly posted pictures of the front to show the change from the old one..

Nice pics there Manjith. If im not mistaken the previous Fiesta had music system in the ZXI?? Man no fog lamps, no music system- too much cost cutting i say.
