Test Drove this Corolla Today.

Took a test drive of this corolla today. Can anyone guess what model this is ? Will wait for a few replies before coming out with the details.

The front end of this car is the one which European corolla carried. The model year is around 2000.

It's the Corolla that was launched between the old One here and recently launched ALtis.

Toyota did not launch it in all markets as the car looked smaller and would not be able to compete against the Civic.

I believe this car may have a 1.6L engine.

Looks similar to the Corolla 1.8E that I had in Sharjah (between 2002 - 2004). The body looks the same, except for the front grill and headlight design.

Its a 2005 model and definately an import.
There are many of these in middle east countries.
But why would some one import this?
