Got my Palio Stile SDX

After much reviews, TDs, confusions,etc. finally got my Magnesium Grey Palio Stile SDX on 11th.

Why Palio ?

Have decided go for a sedan in the month of March but changed to a Hatch after driving my Dad's Matiz in the traffic here.

Thanks to Architect, after reading his post I was convinced to go for this tank Test Drove it couple of times from Concorde and Manipal quite satisfied over it and my desire grow over Palio.

Booking & Delivery

It was a smooth process at Concorde. No hick ups anywhere,except for my loan cheque got delayed by couple of days which led to a delay of 6 days in the day of delivery.

They had a vehicle ready well in time. Went with my brother to the showroom, keys handed over to me after an usual pooja.

What I Got for Free

- Corporate discount of 4K which I exchanged for Minda remote lock. Wanted to go with TATA authorised one since I read somewhere there could be wiring and waranty issues with after market ones.
- Mud flaps, Mats, Antenna, 10L of Diesel
- Requested to fill up the tank, I payed the difference. Don't want to stand in long queue with a new vehicle

What I got added
- Pioneer 5050UB
- Pioneer Component Front & Oval rear ( Didnt remember the models)
- 3M Sun cool
- Art Leather seat covers & Flooring ( will be done this week end)

How I feel

Have been driving Matiz for quite sometime and when I stepped inside it was a whole world of difference right from the Indicator switch. There is an awesome power awaiting inside the bonnet to be unleashed. I am quite satisified with the power and the aircon. Still learning a lot with her and trying to keep the RPM below 2K.

i dont think you need to keep it under 2k. i think it should be fine as long as you try and keep it under 3k rpm.

yeah 2k means no turbo started at all. The turbo is there for a reason

All these suggestions about RPM if you get above 2K rpm (above 3rd gear) in Bangalore good for you )

i just read in the 'run in' thread it is not the RPM but how get there that is important, do it smoothly , i think it means gently hold constant pressure on the gas and let the rpm climb (2K or 3K upto you or rather the amount of tarmac you have) gently bring it back down just as slow then climb again but dont pump the gas pedal as if it were a brake, you FE will go right out of the window.

Good choice mate. it is a great feeling to drive this car. Don't worry the turbo kicks in the range of 1800-2300 rpm, so feel the push!

I was under impression that for first 1K kms it should be <2000, Upto 3K kms it should be <3000 and beyond that no limits. I shall changing my style now.
