Thumbs up New Beast Master (Safari 2.2VTT 4x2)

Guys,

I took delivery of my pearl white Safari 2.2VTT 4x2 this afternoon from Wasan Motors in Borivili.

I did an extensive PDI with the Team BHP checklist and found that everything was in place. The sales person was amazed with the details given in the PDI checklist. I advised him to follow it while delivering vehicles to his customers as it would help him have better customer satisfaction.

The Odo showed 31 kms which was okay since I had done a PDI at the yard where it showed 13. All other functions were explained and after completing the paperwork, I was ready to ride my beast and reclaim my life.

The driving experience was awesome. From a higher vantage point, driving is so much easier. Few skodas, NHCs and even Indicas scattered away to give space, which was a nice feeling .

There was hardly any fuel in the tank when delivered. They said around 4-5 litres would be there and advised me to immediately fill up to avoid air getting trapped. I filled the tank with normal diesel. I did not use any additives like System-D. Is that okay? What do you guys do about additves?

The engine sound was okay but maybe a touch jarring alongwith a slight vibration. It could be because the engine is new and yet to be settled. I hope it will be smoother with time and use. I felt a bit of sluggishness in lower gears at times.

I must say that the presales experience was extremely good with Wasan Motors. They were very courteous and responsive to all my queries. Rohit Joshi was the sales person.

The Safari is now parked downstairs and I can't wait for the night to be over.
cheers:

I didn't get a chance to take snaps yesterday. Here's some I took today after I took her out for a spin.

This is a VX model.

Congrats! That's one great looking beast. Pearl white certainly looks great on the Safari . And good to hear about the happy sales experience. I picked up my Safari from Han and apart from the discount I must say that nothing was good about them - and to say nothing of the totally uninformed sales people.

Congratulations on your new purchase!
Just a little OT here, but i think i saw you drive away with your beast today! I was on the Western Express highway around that time (3-4ish) and saw this brand new white safari alongside. By the way, did yours have a yellow garland?
