| BHPian | Guys, Let me announce the arrival of my black Safari VX 4x4. After waiting for over a month, finally I got the delivery today. T-BHP checklist was handy for PDI. Thank you T-BHP. Yet to get the number, hence, just brought it home and parked it quietly. Initial feeling is great :-). I though I had a large parking where I could squeeze in my Wagon-R, Style and sometimes Bullet together. Now the truck has displaced all of them and still juts out of the yellow line. Pics and reviews would follow, once, I am allowed to run it on road. Just few observations: 1) No "Safari VX" logo at the back? 2) No 4x4 stickers on sides ? 3) Rear spare wheel cover on tailgate has old "Safari" logo and not large "T" letter, that I am used to seeing on all 2.2 VTTs till now. ![]() Has TML changed the looks of 2009 safaris or mine is an aberration? I will be taking the truck back to the dealer for number plate and some promised accessories, in a day or two. I have already asked for #2. They are checking with TML. Need to verify about #1 and #3 too. Any inputs would be helpful. I am particularly interested in #1 and #2. Cheers, -BJ |

| Senior - BHPian | Congrats! TBhp must have a sizeable percentage of all Safari owners in India I have felt that the older spare wheel cover was better looking - so good to see it back. I'm surprised about the missing VX and 4x4 decals. Change of nomenclature and "undecided so none" situation ? Pics please, especially since this is one of the first 2009ers. |

| CONGRATULATION !!! Please share your buying experience of this truck with photographs. This will also help to understand whether there is any change in 2009 Safari. |

Another change that I seem to see is smaller size wheel hubs. No VX logo and 4wd sticker is real suprise, the classic spare cover is definitely a welcome change from that awful oversized T. Gotta follow this with showroom to know more [and that this is not an aberration] and if feasible replace the T-signed wheel cover. Last edited by adc : 16th February 2009 at 00:45.

| Senior - BHPian | Congratulations man. Great SUV. Maybe there are changes in 2009 to the spare cover. Looks more like the 3.0 dicor cover. I think it looks good. You can just source the sticker and add it. |

| Congrats BJ96, Congrats on the new ride! It's a stunner! Any specific reason for 4x4? Quote:
2. Stickers should be there! Come-on, its a 4x4 - how will you announce it to the world! ![]() 3. Mmmm... this would be a good thing. Lot of 2.2 Safari owners over here would readily swap their "T" cover for this 'original' design.
