Guys ,
I am planning to take my car to jalandhar in April , Should i go for the first service before or after the journey..?
What kind of kmpl can i expect, would be worth it..?
The car has already clocked 750 kms in 20 days, i still have time , should i complete 1000 kms and then go for a service or can i do it before , and is there any issues if i am driving over 100 km/h , before 1st service or afterwards....?
Running in period should be how much..?
Suggestions Guys please help..?

a. After
b. Whenever its feasible. Get oil changed if reqd. I personally beleive in it.
c. Its not 100 kph - what RPM does it translate to?
d. Run in period is subjective. There are enough junta here who believe in uber long (like 5000+km) periods, while others rip them from the showroom. No evidence that either is significantly better

100km\hr for an Accent is around 2700RPM in 5th gear.
i suggest just keep it below 3k,and it would be fine.
and i would suggest that you get oil changed before the drive

@Garry you can expect around 14-15kmpl at these speeds

Guys ,
I bought this one on feb the 20th, and now i wish that i should have bought ford ikon diesel instead.
The fuel economy is just killing, it gives an average of somewhat around 10 or 11 km/l.
Its probably as i have shifted from a diesel car to a petrol one , i dont know but it hurts.

well it was sure that petrol one was never going to give you more then that buddy, anyways it would improve a bit after its services, so chill and ride safe.

5L on road is a great price.

I have inquired in Ahmedabad, and dealer has quoted 5.35 Lac on road.

5.51 Lac on road, but 10K loyalty discount, 5K corporate discount.

If i want to fit CNG (company fitting-to carry forward the warranty), I have to pay 65 K extra!!

and by the way 10-11 KMPL is a great millage in Accent.

keep the revs below 2K rpm and avoid unnecessary upshifts & downshifts. Also avoid sudden brakes or frequent braking. Include engine braking in your braking habits.
and yes get the engine oil changed.

Why don't you have a CNG kit fitted in your love? It will only get better from here! Trust me, you will appreciate your decision.

Default 2008 / 2009 model?

Hey Garry,

You bought your car for 5L approx towards the start of the year. I am not getting this price anywhere in Guragaon on today's date.

Did you buy a 2008 model which might have been available in dealer's stock? Please clarify!

Regards,
Sharan
