Default Should I buy a Nano

Im contemplating to book&buy a Tata Nano for my wife.
Is this a worthy decision?
I believe we need to pick up booking forms at SBI counters paying Rs.200 and then let the bank decide which dealer to go to?
There will be 3 models and i intend to go to the in between model of basic and high end.
Do you think Nano will be value for money,no problem car to buy?
Pour in your suggestions.
