the boot is hard to close as compared to other cars since this boot is Connected to Hydraulic Hinges that look like mini shock absorbers. this prevents the boot lid from coming down on you accidentaly when you have your head inside the dicky and giving you a shock . the principal is the same as in M800, wagon R etc

Yes it was kind of very hard to close the boot when i got the car. but now it has freed up a little. still you have to give it enough force to do that not like verna where a simple nudge will close it

Default Seat Belt Assembly

Still iam getting the Irritating squeaking noise from Left rear.
Don't know the root cause.
But as per Bjzon,it comes from Rear Left Seat Belt Assembly.
He too have the same problem and fixed it by replacing that part.
I too informed VST Works Manager,he promised send somebody to check before indent Seat Assembly Parts.
Let's wait.I pray Almight to fix this issue this time itself.

I am positive its around 3k mark only.
I read the info in one of the sunfilm threads here in TBHP. search it.

Also i asked a car-accesories shop guy. he quoted 3000.
Llumar AIR75 & 3M-CR70 were arount 6k/7k.

front windscreen films are specialised films and cost on the other side of 4500/- if someone is promising to fit films for lesser than this, it means he is installing the side window films

Update:
Yesterday VST Service guys came to my office and checked the car for Rear Squeaking Noise.
They accepted the noise but unable to find the root cause.might be the problem is with Seat Belt Assembly.
So they removed the Rear Parcel tray and checked the Seat Belt assembly.
Once opened the assembly, the tensed spring inside came out abruptly.
I donno whether it came out automatically or mishandled by service guy.
Anyhow they will change the Seat Belt assembly with new one.
As they siad,They replace mine with a piece from a new car in their yard and indent a new one and fix it in that car.little weird.
Awaiting their call.

This was suggested to me by Concorde service advisor as well. I felt little uneasy about the whole idea and i wanted a new part which i wanted to personally see and then fix it.

Similar incident happened 3 weeks back when i took my car to check the rattlings. They removed the parcel tray etc and while refitting it back, one of the clip was missing. The service guy opened the boot of another Linea which came for servicing, removed the clip and replaced it in my linea.

When i enquired that this is not correct and why dont you take it from your spares dept, he said, these clips are not available and the other Linea customer is very cool (& not like me) and doesnt mind it.

Strange ! All that i could do is Pity the other Linean
Everytime my goes to the Service centre and comes back, i make it a point to check every part including the screws. Otherwise, we will be royally screwed by these guys

I think you should write to Fiat about this. It's a bit scary. My rattle free Linea has just gone in for its first service. Hope it returns that way!

This seems to be the practice of Tata-FIAT service centers. i had a similar experience with my palio in mumbai couple of years ago. When my car returned from the (paid) service, the car had a damaged gear knob where the numbers were not visible. when the car had gone for the service it had a very good gear knob. when i enquired with the A.S.S. center (the one in Deonar) , they just gave me some silly answers. i did not had time to fight them as i was in the process of shifting to Bangalore. so i let it go.

main thing is one can not check every nut-bolt of the car when the car is returned from the service center. The TRUST factor need to be there
but such incidences reduce the trust the consumer has on the brand.
