Karthik

a thought came to my mind

this happened to your car 2nd time & you've not got your car worked at any other TASS than this.

you spoted other cars at this very TASS with similar issue

No one on t-bhp has reported any such kinda issue in 7-8 months.

Is it possible that this issue is related this TASS in the manner it handles cars?

just a thought though

Might be but i am not sure.
seems they handle cars quite good manners only.
Personally i know all service guys who handles Linea.
To my fate it happened to my car.
I saw another Minimal Grey Linea in VST having the same bulge as mine.
Hope they will do the needful and make me happy

What I meant was little thingies.
The way they open the bonnet, the way they close it etc.
I've always noted that TASS always disconnects battery everytime may be while washing or whatever. The battery -ve terminal has a large socket & if that or any other such thing is left loose & if the bonnet happens to bang there while closing, bulges are a strong possibility.

PS: But then there is a soft padding/ noise dampner there on the inner side of bonnet which should take care of such things ?

Yesterday i had a TD with VST,GM works and Siddha, Tata CSM to find out the real cause for the squeaking sound from the shocks in front.
Whenever the car crossed the speed breakers in a speed less than 30kmph the sound was evident.
They told the sound came from the Rubber bushes used in whisbone setup.
So i left my car there and a team is working on it by removing the stone guard and checking each and every joins in the front shocks setup.
Might be getting the feedback by this afternoon.

GM personally promised me to take another TD once the work is done and if he feels OK then he will send the car to my place.

Awaiting peacefully

Hey Karthik

You're really getting a Royale Treatment at VST.

What about the bonnet bulges? Found the root cause? Basis what you mentioned, I still think that the issue is specific to VST related to some work-habits over there

Amit,

Well yes he is getting a royale treatment but all these problems are really destroying ownership experience of us guys. There are recurrent problems in some cars on this forum. Well am still on 4500 kms and hope nothing happens till atleast 50-60 k kms

Seems initial batches have got troubles.

Nope. Mine is also initial batch car. Nothing as of now. No rattles, no niggles. The beauty is absolutely ravishing & is inviting me for a very long drive again

Karthik is very particular about everything, not to say we're not but still. I would say he is juicing out the royale treatment he is getting . What say, Karthik

Well for the matter, mine is also a BQZ which means February manufactured car. Am absolutely in love with the smoothness of the car, moreso after driving a Scorpio for 3 years. Yes i miss the pickup power in Linea but low NVH and awesome ride and handling make up for it.
Not even a single wax session till now for her, am loving it as she is still shining.

Long drive?? Am going on fri for the postponed trip of Mon, 800 kms round trip will update with the experience.

VahanPujari/Karthik,
My MJD also has bulges. I showed them to TASS (concorde) but they didn't know what to say either. I preferred to have the small bulges rather than repaint the entire hood, so left it as is.

My 7500 km update is due; will put it up soon.

Gears,
Red-One.

Hi Guys,

After a long time i am posting this.

It's a Mercedes Benz E class Station Wagon and driven by a Turkish Driver.
I chatted with him and looked into speedometer,i was amazed.
The car has completed 5,55,227 kms already.

He replied me simply, hey guy, this is a Mercedes after all
