wind-noise near ORVMs - could be the design of the ORVMs - which helps in deflecting wind at high speed - aerodynamics ?? (sorry! i am not good at this) - you can check if the wind noise is there by closing the ORVM and driving at a speed at which the noise appears.

or it could be a loose part inside the ORVM cluster.
It needs to be checked as i was little busy in Office chaos.
I already tried with closing the ORVM still the sound appeared clearly.
Might be some loose part inside the ORVM cluster as you said or inside doorpads.
I am getting noise from both sides.so it should be from ORVM.Some kiirrrr sound.
I'll be going to Service Station on 13 Mar 2010 to check all issues.

Hey Karthik i have been following u'r topic and posts for quite a long time. I am to join the Linea club, i booked Emotion pack MJD Bosso Nova White from AR.AS.PV.PV. The vehicle as per the dealer was to be delivered before budget 26/2/2010 and he got full payment but it is yet to arrive the show room, expecting it to be mine on 18/3/2010. Planning to fix 3M films any suggestions about films. Also en-quired for leather upholstery, it is costler in coimbatore compared to Bangalore minimum by Rs. 5K for both Ovion and Stanley irrespective of the choice of leather any idea. I think you have not gone for leather yet any plans. I have ordered for Pete's box and it will be fitted immediately as soon as i take delivery of my car. Mats & Mud flaps will be OEM, additional transperant mats i need to purchase as i do for all my cars. And regarding the reverse parking sensor i am planning to fix an after market one, but little worried about the Warranty any suggestion

3m CS Series is good and little costly.
Try xenos Solar guard films too what i put in my car.
It's really good and but availabilty in madurai and rajapalayam is an issue.
But you can get it in CBE.

I will plan after 2 or 3 years only once i am getting bored with interior.
I enquired here in Stanley chennai,it costs around 28K and in Haiton,Chennai, they will do it for lesser amount with good quality leather.
But Karlasson,Bangalore is very good ,many of our t-bhpians done their leathers here and cost also nominal.
try it.

Oh boy,I am also planning to install pete's after 2nd service.
try to install after a month so that you can easily differentiate stock and pete's performance.
Please post your observation and cost involved which helps me a lot.

OEM mats are good and washable.so IMO that's enough to keep the car clean.

Default 2nd Service Completed

Hi All,

I got back my car after second service.
There is no vital changes as of now.
Please check the Final Bill.
Silver Streak Linea :)-copy-2ndservicebill.jpg
It comes around Rs.4208.
AC Pollen Filter is not mentioned in the Bill, though it's changed as per the SA.
4 lts of Oil is billed instead of 3.5 lts as the Billing Software is not accepting decimal place.Weird.
it will be balanced in next service by billing only 3 lts of Oil instead of 3.5 lts.
Most of the issues are rectified and but the bonnet bulges is not fixed up to mark.
need to speak with them again.Fourth attempt
Any how i'll enjoy riding my Silver Streak.

Waiting to take her for some more long trips.

Enjoy and Drive safe

Karthik, very very resonable amount and closely at par with Maruti on service cost.

What is that "all purpose cleaner" ?

With Rs. 4208 spent for the 15000 kms; servicing cost per km = 28 paise. It is very reasonable assuming that there was no oil change in the first free service.

If there is an oil change at 3000 kms service, then servicing cost per km = 47 paise which is not bad at all.

If they have used 4 litres well and fine but i dont think they would have used the 4th bottle. try to get the remaining oil and have it in your boot for topup later
