Man, this car is so tempting. Sometimes i wish can i not have the Linea and the ANHC AT both, its like having the best of both worlds. But then wishes are not always horses.... sigh!!

Congrats Karan. I completed it 4500 KM on my ODO and very close to second service. I think, i will get that done next week. Mine is AT version and i am not consistently getting FE of 10.5 with 100% AC in Bangalore traffic. I am very happy with both FE and Power.

Hmm dunno how Honda does it but they manage such high mileage from 118ps engine.
Whats the avg speed?
Also how is the engine noise. is it very silent?

My Linea is giving 9-10 in city traffic (avg speed is 20kmph)
After crossing 3000 rpm, Linea engine starts growling and after 4000, its unbearable.

My mileage has significantly improved after 1st service. previously it was showing 12.6, now its showing 13.4 in city, with 100% A/C. Typically the display is off by 1.4-1.5, so i assume i am getting around 12 in Bangalore city now, with 100% Ac.

High mileage is because the i-Vtec is at work, and honda's technical expertise in developing very light weight engine parts. Besides, the engine is super silent upto 3500 rpm.
More light from honda city owners.

Average speed is say 30-40km. The engine is very very silent and refined- typical Honda . No offence but as known to everyone Linea's petrol cant match Honda's FE. Linea would also weigh more than the ANHC. Linea's MJD seems to be giving good FE.

If we calculate on full tank basis , i think most MT owners would be getting around 11.5km/l in city for sure with 100 % A/c. Overall everything is satisfying about the car, but i wished the suspension could have been better.

iVtec is responsible! In normal driving it generates only moderate power (at times you wonder if it is really a 118 ps engine) and consumes optimal level of fuel. Only when you push and when there is a sudden demand for power/torque (like uphill) the high performance cams come in to picture and the engine charecteristics change altogether.
The older v-Tecs employed performnce cams only after certain engine RPM (like 4000?) but i-Vtech makes use of this throughout the rev range depending on the situation.

Those are great figures. Are they tank to tank basis? My ANHC is due for 2nd service.

This is shown on the display, my previous calculations tell me that there is a difference of 0.5-0.8 KMPL difference between actual and what is shown on the display.

During my last long trip of over 5 days, car had given approx 14.5 KMPL (Actual tankful to tankful) over 1400 KMs drive through Bangalore-Shiradi Ghat-Mangalore-Udupi-Mangalore-Udupi-Ankola-Udupi-Agumbe Ghat-Shivamogga-Tumkur-Bangalore stretch most of the time with minimum 4 people + luggage inside.
