Transporter 3 has the A8 i think. It's transporter 2 with the A4. Besides that, love the ride, would love to compare it with the 2.0 on my A4.

The Superb diesel accelerates well and, while it suffers a little from an initial lag until the turbocharger kicks in, it picks up well and has good torque in the middle of the rev range.
Press the sports button and the throttle response is more sensitive, which helps overcome that initial lag. The steering is also a touch more direct, although in this mode it does tend to sip a little more juice.

Do use the 6 spped DSG gearbox with peddle shifts ( like one in Transporter 3 with Audi A4, gear selectors under the steering wheel).
I guess the DSG works best in auto mode - its more efficient than manually changing gears ...

I would agree with the kick-downs suggestion though - but its damn addictive that torque rush !
Ohh and the kick downs are best done in Sports mode, once your car has run in!

As you might be knowing that all good cars have tinted glasses, which have a tinted film sandwitched between 2 sheets of glass. This film (depending on car's brand and price) is of very high quality and provide all anti glare, anti UV functions etc. So no extra film is actually needed, thats why you will hardly ever see a Merc or BMW etc., with additional sun film.

I have an Altis AT purchased in this March which came with lovely green tinted glasses. Have just returned from a 600 kms trip in Rajsthan. The temprature was 41-42 and our AC was set at 28*C, we did not face any problem what so ever. You also have done the Shirdi Nasik trip and if you did not feel any problem, then why waste money on additional films. They will also ruin the original look of tinted glasses which look more expensive.

Congrats mate....Nice car, great choice. You've got almost everything you'd probably get from a merc or a beemer at almost half their price.

Like others have mentioned, please be on your guard when you have got anything to do with your car in the dealership. Now a days I do the same with my private mechanic too after reading Harish ordeal

I just wish Skoda provided low profiles for this car... I've attached a few picks...They look sweet.

How many kms have driven it so far?
There is a run in period of 2000Kms where one has limit the car to 2500RPM. Ya you should see the difference after 2000kms but improves considerably after the 1st service.
