Karthik, Geeash and Redone.. I am extremely sorry to say that there has been huge pressure from my house to go to my native place (Thirunelveli) this weekend.. May be they have become more addictive than me with my car.

I may not be able to join the bash. Please excuse me..

Do carry on this Sunday or if OK we can meet some other time..

Karthik, Geeash and Redone.. Your suggestions please.

Apologies..

Default An interesting estate version

Came across this on a foreign site. Not sure of the language but the picture spoke enough. Looks really nice.

What are your opinions. We have seen a sport version, a hatch (the gp) and now this

Finally I took the Test Drive for Fiat Linea-Petrol.
I called up Prerana Motors, Sarjapur on Friday afternoon and spoke to Sales guy and fixed the appointment for 12 PM on Sat. After 1 hr, got the call from the Sales Mgr that car will come by 1 PM.
So got up Sat morning(was having fever but still very much excited for the TD) and at 1:15PM got a call from Sales guy that he is near to my place (Near to Whitefield). When came out, saw the beautiful Silver Colored Petrol Linea standing and ppl of my apt having a look with wow.
It was Dynamic model with no Music System, simple dial etc. Finally, sat on the driving seat and tried to push it and as everyone said, car lagged a push but still not bad at all....Took it to Highway(Whitetfield- Hoskote) and luckily found the highway empty.

Took a long drive, push the car to 120 Km and looked if anyone behind car and then my foot on brakes fully and hardy....Screech of the sound and the car was standing still, very stable, no one inside even felt that I hit the brake hard. Sales guy was surprised and smiling. Then parked car on the side and had good long detailed look. Saw small issue in the car like the electric box below steering column was open and out. Asked him the reason and he told me that clip has broken and he didn;t fixed it but it showed me the quality of plastic, a bit of a concern now with it.
Turned the car back and found bumper to bumper traffic but able to navigate without much issues and came back home happy and sweet. Spoke to him in detail about the color I am looking for etc and the Sales guy told me that he can give me mud flap, mat etc + a corporate discount upto 10K. Not sure whether it is a good offer and should I ask for more but atlast I drove the car.

Way to go vinay. So have you finalised on the Linea?
Take whatever discount you can get on the dynamic variant. Will come in handy for the ICE

Is the rear headroom okay? Autocar mentioned that its very bad and I'm worried about this since I'm over six foot. Congrats on the car anyway!!

McLaren will you be driving the car or sitting in the rear? I'm 6ft3 have no issues while driving the car. However the rear headroom is not much but I did not care as I don't intend to sit in the rear.
My brother who is 6ft and dad 5'10" have not found it uncomfortable.
The advice I can give you is to first TD the car and arrive at a conclusion.

Wow! Looks good. Sedans which have an odd rear or are hatch derived look extra cool in station wagon form (Baleno, Siena, Marina)
