Anyhow how much did the swift arm rest cost? Did you buy it at a Maruti Suzuki service center?
Extremely sorry about your Octy KR !! I am glad your driver is safe and hope the insurance settlement is done soon. Good luck

The Swift arm rest is around 1200 bucks. I got it from CARAX

Hi Amog,
Just read about your 4000KM updated, I have lot of things to argue Say for instance 'The arm rest". But will take it up later.
what I wanted to ask you is - Have you used Nitrogen?
No, then try it and let me know the feel of the ride. Get it from a Authorised Dealer / Shop
Be Warned - Its too difficult to control the beast
Best part - You will love the engine noise inside the cabin.

As the car runs in, the engine does become increasingly refined and silent. And not only me, many owners have reported the same observation.
Only question that comes to mind is.... After 3000 km is it the engine noise going down magically or is it the owner getting used to the noise (placebo). The reason I ask is that I have taken test drive on a Punto which had 7k on odo, and NVH was terrible on NH11 when I was doing 120kmph.

Yes the refinement is for real, its not only me but also a lot of people who do not sit regularly in this car have also felt the same.

Yes Punto gets quite boomy at 120kph but its no way horrible, its louder than Swift Diesel but NVH levels overall are very good.

Default Armrest

ArmSter has some really neat armrests for FIAT Punto..

ArmSter Center Armrests - ABOUT

I really hope they had those in India...

BTW i'm getting Ovion Leather for my Grande Punto soon (hopefully in 3 days)

I paid Rs 17500 for Upholstery + 1000 (For Gear Boot & Door Pads).

Stanley was costing Rs 23000 for seats + 3000 for gear boot & Door pads.

I'll post pictures & actually create an ownership thread after i get the upholstery & sun film done in 3 days.

My clutch has become a little hard. It was silky smooth when i bought it.

Random Accessories prices for Punto

1. Ovion Upholstery - Rs 17500 + 1000 (For Gear Boot & Door Pads).
2. Stanley Upholstery - Rs 23000 + 2500 (For Gear Boot & Door Pads).
3. Sun Film (3M) - Rs 3500 (Basic) or Rs 5000
4. K&N Filter - Rs 4800 For MJD Engines
5. Laura L&K Alloy Wheels (2006-2008 Model) - 5000 per Wheel (Skoda sells them for over Rs 12000 at their showroom).

I was really thinking of changing our OE Alloys for Laura's...

I would love this if it happens to my Punto, I feel Punto's clutch is overservoed and too light.

Anshuman, how's the pick up on your car. You've done what 10,000KM on your Punto?

Our Punto had just crossed 6000 KM and i think the pick up has improved, but to a Swift level. I also don't think i'll need a Pete's tuning box after all. The pick up was horrible pre 3000, but it's freed up a lot after the 4000 mark...

BTW do you think a K&N air filter is a good investment?

Hi Guys,

I had one question for all you Punto gurus out there. Does the emotion pack have a usb capabilities and if yes where is it placed. I have tried locating it in the demo cars but could never find it. It would be really grateful if you could provide me the picture of it. Thanks

I know its quirk for most, but here my take. I actually love it thats in the glove box. Why?
Well, about a year ago, i had a usb enabled head unit - the on dash types. My daughter always fancied the multi-colored head unit and then the USB drive would emit neon lights. She alays tried to figit with it.

Just when i thought she would be responsible to break it, it was my wife who actually broke it. tried to remove the water bottle from the holder below, hit a bump on the road, accidently hit the usb drive and the usb connection points were bent. The drive was dead after that.

So personally, from my own past experience, I love it that that the USB is in the glove box, nice tucked away from accidents.
