Somehow my interior does not feel fresh at all..i guess seats are the culprit.some sort of smell is coming from it. I even did a steam washing and AC flush but the old smell remains.
I am not sure how to get rid of it.As of now managing with a can of shaldan.

Sorry for Going Off topic but, Rock18, Do you visit the Parrys Corner area? Coz i frequently see a well maintained S10 in this area.

So sad to see such an epic car leaving your garage. Must be heart-rending, no?

So what diesel hatch are you buying?

Ouch! That hurts man. And why is it not being driven? I hope I don't have to see a day like this with my GTX.

Me too.

KD - that was indeed sad :( - but the third owner must be very lucky to own this beast now. You can keep saying that the Legend will keep on living S10 size in future.

Congrats on the new Diesel

Its feels very sad to see a fellow TBHPian bidding adieu to his beloved S10. I had thought of doing the same, but eventually retained her mainly due to emotional reasons.

Hope she has found a new lover and will be taken care well.

Its Heartning to see the amount of affection everyone has for this car, and rest assured, its in very good hands! It shares a garage with, every other Limited edition car sold in India, namely, The RS, Ohc Vtec, Zen Steel and a Fiesta S.

Its being transported from Varun's house to the Packers n Movers office, on the flatbed. From there, it was transported to chennai, in a closed car carrier.

Here are some pix, after an initial Tidying up session.

One point i must add here, Dealing with Varun was an absolutely delightful Experience. Very helpful, and co-operative in every way, which was a great help, especially since i was over 1000km away.. If it was being sold by anyone else, i doubt if I'd have got the car.

I wish you all the best with your new car!

@ JayD - Aha! so you are the lucky one who got this beast (Amith / Klubclass did mention about a BHPian buying this car)

Points to note:

1. Get rid of the Ford Ikon / Fiesta 1.6 Badge on the bootlid.
2. The Palio Sticker was missing IIRC
3. The 100 16V stickers needs to be replaced - IIRC they came in RED in the S10

Enjoy the car

PS: i should have guessed this came to you when i saw your post in this thread: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...iat-palio.html (Under-rated, hated, and forgotten-the story of the Fiat Palio)

1) Gone Already
2) Removed the sponge which was remaining from the palio badge, presently debadged, and i kinda like how it looks!
3) Trying hard for it, but haven't found it, any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Get in touch with Vipul Singh on TBHP - very helpful guy. PM me to get his phone number. But you may have to wait a bit for the parts to reach you.

if you cannot get the red ones - buy the chromed ones - get rid of the chrome and paint them red.

I picked up the regular silver ones and colored them using red permanent marker. Haven't yet put it on the car, but it should do the trick to a large extent.

Else, get one of the red ComPaint cans and give it a nice paint job.
