3. Vanity mirror
4. Choice of seat colors

All small things that would not have cost Hyundai much to provide here. Less than 1000 rupees for the first three?

I love my i20, but these few small things would have made it just perfect.
I think, distance to empty and fuel consumption indicators should have been provided.Choice of seat colors is a problem because the dealers are not ready to do that stuff(no work and all play),specially in india.
Otherwise even i would have prefered interior theme of my choice in this car,but its a wonderful car anyways and won't give much opportunity to its buyers to complaint about it.

@gadiyar May be Asta (O) pack have this function!

-During Test drive got difficult to engage. 1st & 2st gear. Anyone experience it!
-When a car goes through small broken patches whole steering unit will vibrate.
-During night side view mirror folding switch do not illuminate!
-Rear air vent only activate when you set air flow to leg and face setting
-Hitting the plastic cover under the steering wheel- Real a irritation
-Cheap plastic like volume switch, headrest removal switch
-The boot open so fast you cannot control the movement its very danger when someone is near the boot.

We TD'd the Punto MJD and the i20 CRDI today, and here are my observations on your points:-

-When a car goes through small broken patches whole steering unit will vibrate. No idea--the roads were good.
-During night side view mirror folding switch do not illuminate! Not sure---it was day time.
-Rear air vent only activate when you set air flow to leg and face setting
Not sure, but thanks for pointing this out.
-Hitting the plastic cover under the steering wheel- Real a irritation What cover?
-Cheap plastic like volume switch, headrest removal switch Looked ok to me. Except that I pressed the mute button twice when I wanted to honk---an old M800 habit of mine.
-The boot open so fast you cannot control the movement its very danger when someone is near the boot.

I guess my test drive report has confused a lot of folks.

The DTE (Distance to Empty) was what I had used to calculate the mileage. The i20 TD vehicle was tanked up 10 lts and the dynamic DTE was used to calculate the instantaneous mileage.

Sorry for the confusion.

Cheers

Nopes! The differences i could note between the asta and the option pack are
6 airbags
Sunroof
Different interior light console
Front seats.

Guys you can see DTE n Instant / Avg Fuel Consumption indicator only in high end asta option and not in any variants. These utilities are also discussed in all i20 crdi manuals. I was very dissapointed with such foolish decission by the company.

Any Asta O owners plz confirm this.

DTE?? What DTE?? I have an i20 crdi Asta Option pack, and it has 2 tripmeters and one mode which shows engine running time. And i don't think there is any model above mine.

Have you seen the DTE? If so, how do you access it??

Infact I have seen these features myself in my i20 CRDi manual. I can either tell you the page number or better put a snapshot here.

With out being used any of the i20 variants why would he keep it in the manual. Perhaps they might have removed it in the indian version of the car.

Gadiyar pretty much closed this discussion a couple of posts ago...

What is surprising to me is how confidently you claim that this feature is available in the Asta O model

I agree! I've made more than a dozen posts on different threads stating the option pack does not have this feature, but the discussion just doesn't seem to die off!
