Mine is CQZ - Petrol. P for Petrol & Q for Diesel is not right.
In fact, am not able to decode that middle letter P/ Q what it stands for.

Binze - Thanks but I should say, am not an expert. This little knowledge is due to the extensive research done when I got VIN for my car - on Net & on t-bhp. But still, I could not find a full-proof way to decode these Fiat VIN's in India.

Default First Linea of team-bhp to Ooty through the famous 36 hairpin

Friends,
After 2 years gap, I went for a vacation to Ooty last weekend in my new black beauty with fellow bhpian and now good friend 'gadadhar'. He gave me the confidence and idea on how to take it through the steep hairpin bends and IT WAS A HAIR RAISING experience. The car behaved well, no issues and all steep were flying .
So if I am not wrong, it is the first Linea of team-bhp to Ooty through the famous steep climb with 36 hairpin bends

Will be writing the travelogue soon. So here is a trailer

Default Second car inspection

So. As the first Linea MJD Dyn Pk (Perla Champagne) car i inspected was not upto the mark (with a bent bumper), and was also a Jan 09 model, i asked the dealer to get me another piece.

And what a surprise! The second one was even worse! It was a Feb 09 model, and had even more issues.

1. The same bumper bent. (Dont know if this lot had this as standard). Practically, if i were to reverse and there was a big obstruction below, the sag in the bumper would get into the obstruction and tear out the whole bumper.

2. The driver side door was not operational. Dealer said he will fix that.

3. The boot was completely damp. Dont know what they did in there. Also there were small bumps on the material besides the spare wheel.

In ALL a big letdown and not acceptable. Dealer told me that he will get Medium grey sometime this week. If i like the color, i will go for it because
1. This will be a newer model, since the color is recently introduced.
2. Hopefully all these issues will not be present.

ajay,
stay away from this car. Looks like the dealer is trying to pawn off customer rejects/old-stock on you.
There might even be rusted parts ... since its jan/feb manufacture.

Medium gray is a good decision! It's new model and shouldn't be more than 2 months old.

I dont know whom to believe, as the dealer says that he is getting cars (esp. Dyn Pk's) only on orders. So might be, Fiat is pushing out its old stock to dealers.

Yes Ajay you are right I had booked Fiat Linea Emotion pack petrol in medium gray, but it was 3 months old car. I had refused to take that car then went for Flamenco red (1.5 months old)...
Although I had chat regarding this with Aashis (fiat Product Manager) and his point was that sometimes the VIN number is older that the actual car manufacturing date since they are not assembling everything together on same day.
