Rajiv, try getting rid of those bling blue alloy wheel caps. Get them in silver if you can. Its time we meet up for dinner. What say ?

Raj-: Good alloys.The car has become very handsome after adding them. The blue centre doesn't match upto the looks. Would be better if you can change it to silver as suggested by Mclaren.

How was the initial drive exp? By sluggish, I hope it was only comparing to the pre-change performance.

Remove the blue sticker from the centre of the alloy wheel!

Car looks great. It will be much better to drive it though!

Bought 4 alloys & 5 tyres

Tyres = 24k - 9k(exchange) = 15k.
Alloys = 15k for 4
Total = 30k

My first mod will always be alloys and tyres if it had stock rims and tyres.

Driving is fun in getz. Its feels so lite compared to my elantra and its breeze to drive in city. I dont know what happens to boys who sees getz crdis.. They try to race, cut in and one fellow even signed lifting his right thumb up signalling 'catch me if u can', but i was cool as i was running in.

This has happened to shyamcrdi & me in his car while driving to nandi hills. A white indica cab though he was not able to race us was dam stubborn to race us.

I have still not crossed 70kmph so cant comment much on performance part but all i can say is the initial kick in the butt feels good.

The thumbs up might have been a "GOOD BUY" sign as well. Coz I show it to Punto guys when I see them, and of course with a smile on my face.

I would rather not race with anyone who shows an urge to race on the roads. We never know how it might end. If the other guy is too rash, he can end up hurting others as well.

Enjoy your drives!

Congrats Rajeev, nice looking Getz there, I can almost feel your itch to floor it when you have to restrain yourself from speeding, well it's worth the wait.
Happy and safe driving.
P.S
where did you pick your alloys and tyres from?

Even my CRDI is is 195/60/R14 Michelin XM1+ and i do feel that the turbo lag post the change in stock tyres has increased. Am getting a mileage of around 13 kmpl in Mumbai city. Pls suggest whethet the mileage is appropriate.

BTW, your car looks a stunner with the upsize !!

Simple & Elegant .
With 195's its doesnt become too much sluggish but a small amout of power is stolen and i am talking keeping neovas in mind. In your case it might be different as you are going for s-drives or maxxis.

Mileage drop should be minimal i guess or keep max 1km less than normal.

Rightly said.

But the way he overtook me and showed the thump up did mean "Wanna race?"

Braaj, I am hoping you are going to complete your running in by this weekend? No babying the car around the town on weekends you know . Just to give you some inspiration, here....

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/long-t...-2-days-9.html

I suggest you complete the running-in before we hit the highways.

I'm on S.Drives (195/55 R15), and get a mileage of 14.5 to 15.5 consistently in city. I was getting under 14 till my first service because I was shifting only at 1800 ~ 2000 RPM, but after the 1st service and pulling off the ECU fuses (for 1 hour, while washing my car ), and doing a sedate 100 KM drive at 80 in 5th, I am getting good numbers in city.

BUT- I am getting the same circa 15 KMPL even on highway runs- probably because I find it difficult to drive at anything less than 120!!!
