Some of the factors may need to be re-looked now with the launch of next gen i10, especially the headlights effectiveness, driveability, FE etc. Hope the owners of the new i10 start chipping in the info on various factors.

But Hyundai's Blind Eye towards the puny tyres is quite undigestable.

This is common with almost 90% of manafacturers who provide inadequate tyre size. Usually its about 20mm dia less and an inch down the actual alloy size for better FE figures.

So people who dont bother about performance, asthetic looks etc. They are happy with stock tyres.

For the rest of us, it's mandatory to upgrade tyres the minute it steps out of the showroom.

you are right. but i10 seems to be under-rated here in india whereas aborad it is being offered with R14. Also looking at the competition especially Ritz and people's feedback since long about the puny tyres, maybe hyundai should have taken note of it in the next gen. it is quite subjective though. and yes for likes of us, there is no way but upgrade.

Sorry to revive an "old" thread, but Sidindica, how would you now consider the facelift I10 Kappa 2 in comparison to the Ritz? Would your assessment (that Ritz is overall a better car than the I10) still remain the same? I would be interested in your views on this as a number of my friends have shortlisted the two cars, both of which are extremely capable in their own right.

Hi changaez,

I think Misquitas is referring to i10 Kappa VTVT here- the new improved version of i10.

The video link is showing a comparo between the older i10 and Ritz.

Yes, I was referring to a Kappa VTVT vs Ritz comparison. Any comparisons on this?
