Fogging up INSIDE the headlights? No, that is NOT normal. You should get that checked out and ideally, replaced.

Replace the headlights?????? both of them get fogged on the insides. He told me to take photos and show them. I will show them this in the first service.

Frank fogging inside headlamps means moisture is going inside....since it is a new car there shouldn't be any reason for this. Get them changed at first service.

Saw the pics and read the description of your trip, looks like someone had lot of fun driving his Fiesta! I too am sold on a Fiesta now, definitely my next car!

Thank god I saw this before changing the bulbs! Or they'd have attributed the moisture to that in the service centre.. LOL....
And yea, thanks rishi! Had some killer fun! Went with special company

I'm worried they will make a fuss about changing the entire assembly. is that the only solution?

ask the mechanic to take out the bulbs and blow dry the cluster with compressed air. it will solve the problem. is it raining there? did the fogging occur after the mud bath?

Frank, there is a rubber boot around the bulb terminal that is supposed to make the headlight assembly air-tight. This could have been loose or become loose. Check for any improper fitting. This may solve your problem.

It actually solved the fogging issue in my esteem.

Thanks a lot for your advise - all of you.I'll sure keep it in mind .I am really keen on the Zxi - would have even gone for the Sxi, but prefer the black grill and without leather seats!.But first I am waiting for the dealer to give me a TD.He promised this week.

The beauty is being ICEd at the moment, hence the quiet.
Wait till she's done! Till then you can also follow my ICE thread in Ask the Gurus.

I plan on taking her for a fuel efficiency test after 2000 km are over.
FE of 8 (city only, with ac, no full load) is consistent.
And ONLY 12.5 on the highway.
Need to get that verified.
Also, I heard the car RPM go up and down without the AC yesterday at idling. is that normal?

The RPM moving up and down is called hunting. You may want to get that checked at service. Happened to my Honda earlier. It was gone after they replaced my O2 sensor during my Linkway Honda crash episode.

The hunt is not that desperate though. It borders between the normal and slightly noticeable.
Should be ironed out @ first service.

Head lamps fogging, RPM hunting, Rusted legs and arms, Poor FE of just 8kmpl (equals CRV 2.4L), shaken out bare freaking 'tree' of the house, the White Diamond saga is always keeping me on PIN.

I hope everything will be back to normalcy once the DINCHAK starts its duty inside. Powerful sound waves can do wonders in a car. It will vibrate the body rust-free, hold the RPM band with its super sonic powers, kick the fogs out of its eyes, create plenty of leaves back into the bare freaking 'tree' (remember to play the DINCHAK near it), bringing a mileage of over 12 kmpl, because you wont be addicted to the engine roars anymore, and most importantly bringing back that voluptuos gleaming smile on the FRANKY dentures !
