Which tints did you get frank? And those are some nice pictures. Also can you please get rid of the Bhavna Ford and the ABS stickers?

Frank,

Kudos, your car is spotless and a great way to start your new year I suppose. Clicking your fav car to your heart's content.

My jaws just dropped when I saw the size of those sub woofer, u must be having one hell of a ride with that system.

Have a great year, I would love to take pictures of my Fiesta as well, unfortunately i have got a few scratches and big dent on the left side back door :(

New Year wishes to you and other team bhpians, Drive safely.

Just a suggestion frank: Take her out and shoot in the open next time. Maybe at dusk or dawn! Photos will be immensely better plus you will get a hang of your new cam as well!

All the best
I will do so, sir. The trouble is, I stay in one of the busiest areas of Mumbai and to have a garage or closed parking space here is a boon. I thought I'd take advantage of that. You can see from photos how the car is protected from the elements. I didn't have an option but to take the photos here. If i took it out on the road and did the same, I'd have had a crowd of 30-40 people around me, after which a Mental hospital would send a chauffeur driven vehicle for me.

The earlier plan was to keep the stock tints and add something transparent, but this was rejected by the film fellow. He said one of the films was already scratched and the car would become really dark if 2 layers of film was applied.
Hence, we stripped the old crap and put Dark Natural Ash from Garware. I always trusted Garware tints and this BS about 20000 rupee tints doesn't appease me. This works just fine.
Anyway, the Fiesta has one of the BEST air conditioning in the segment, so no worry about 70-80% heat rejection etc.

Thanks mate. She is indeed spotless. Knock on wood.
The subwoofer is a 12 inch one, but it's a legendary model and coupled with a custom veneer enclosure from Sanen, it looks HUGE and is indeed, HUMONGOUS. It sounds very very sweet though.
My carputer is on the blink right now. Seems like a hard drive issue. Will switch it back on soon and take more photos of it in action.
My car had scratches too, but I have a super solid scratch removal system (my painter is a genius. LOL!) and he did a fab job on her. On the outside as well as on the insides.

Thanks guys. Love her. She's hot and she drives that way too.
Hoping for more kilometers with her.

PS: BMC Stock Panel Air Filter has arrived. Will be putting it on tomorrow.
K&N 57i is a super hit, but didn't go well with dad. So it's now on sale.

Surprise, surprise!!!!!!
Finally 'mediated' with Dad and we NOW have a solution to everyone's troubles!!!!
I was quite sure I was going to keep the K&N filter, and I managed to convince Dad that the filter will not make as much 'noise' as it did when it was in it's 'stock' (according to K&N) position.
Hence, what we did was to make a REAL cold air intake out of the K&N 57i and I went to Afzal (BAR Exhausts) known for his expertise in fabricating a good intake pipe.
That's it. We started at 4 pm, got done by 630 and we started her up. Pure stainless steel, angled to perfection, sealed to both terminal ends by two double clips. We drove a few meters and heard the pipe fouling with the bonnet and hence had to cut some of the pipe and do it again. Drove her back and she's driving really well. I daresay even better, since we removed that filter from the 'back' of the engine, and it now lies in front, near the radiator (and more importantly near the grille, which means higher intake of cold air from outside and also, to an extent, dispersion of the sound)
The car sounds really different now (from the last time we had the filter on) and she really IS sucking in a lot of cool air from near that grille, which is evident in her eagerness to rev. It's most noticeable after 2000 RPM when it's sucking in a lot of air, and the 'pushed back in the seat' episodes are happening @ 3000 RPM regularly, alongwith a muted whoosh and sweet growl from the engine.
I am going to say those dreaded words, but here goes.
"This is it ;-)"

Try and get the pipe painted in metallic red or something. Then it will look like a proper k&n kit.

The pipe's getting some heatlon/damping material/heat retardant material.
IT's nude since Afzal didn't gave the requisite material. I will get it draped soon.

Great Pics Frank, loved the techo pics with high rps. You have managed to keep her well.

How come only K&N, a FFE would have made the performance difference look more real. Do you plan to go for it in future?

OT: everytime I read Frank, reminds me of Frank Martin.. the Transporter

@frank
plans to remap it?

for the heat shield for the intake SS pipe use the same heat wraps that are used to wrap the headers they are super effective. it costs somewhere around 4k for a box.

and for the exact ECU model for the 1.6 engine, its best to call up Ford and ask the most quick and reliable solution to the Question.

While it will work, it's like using a nuclear bomb for a fist fight.
Those things work upto what 1200 degrees?
I've actually seen a picture of a car that went up in flames and the header wrap was the only thing that didn't get charred.

@nitrous thats the point if a super effective option is available why not use it?
I mean it does it job perfecto and after the heat wrap the intake will truely work as a CAI

UPDATE: It was her SECOND birthday on the 15th of August :-)

She has done 14.5 k km till now. A record of sorts for my family. My Esteem had done 8.5k km at the 2 year mark! Speaks volumes about how much fun the Fiesta is to drive. Every chance I (or Dad) get to take her out for a spin is grabbed with willing (legs) and hands. She drives much better (naturally) than when she first came out from the showroom, and try as I may, I can never tire her in any gear. The handling is ARROW sharp so is the turn-in and the steering is more communicative than a 4 year old on a sugar-high! The ride is harsh, and sometimes I feel like leaving her home when I need to traverse some non-road like roads (many exist in Mumbai). The thud from the bottom and the tooth crunching feeling on hitting a bump take a little away from this gem of a machine.

Mods so far:
1. Michelin Pilot Preceda 2 205/55 R15s
2. Carputer with shnazzy wazzy audio system :-)
3. XENON lights (a new addition: YESTERDAY)
4. BMC Stock Panel Filter (K&N out)
5. Garware ICE Cool film on Windshield and ICE zzxzxzx something on the windows.
6. Leather/Art Leather seat covers going in. Might wait for the monsoon to put out.

The Xenon lights are 55w HIDs with 6000k BULBs. No projectors have been used but the light is carefully focussed so as to reduce glare for the drivers in the opposing lane.

Here are a few photos:

Thanks mate. I have been using it since 4 days and I haven't had a single complaint or a rude flash from an oncoming fellow driver.
I have kept it at it's lowest setting. I can change the bulbs to 3000k whenever I want. They don't cost much.
