If anyone has recently booked a swift VDi ( ABS ) in B'lore, please let me know of the waiting periods. The waiting period of the ABS variant appears to be a month more than the non-ABS variant.

Guys, a update. The stickers reached well in advance. But..

Spoke to dealer, my car arrived in the stockyard on monday, but the dealer said he will allow me my check after 2 days that is tomorrow. Reason being FIAT representatives at stockyard overlooking their PDI on wednesday and tuesday.. So they could not allow my check in front of them.

I somehow smell something fishy here..!!

Going tomorrow armed with a camera, flash light & the check list.

I guess the final delivery will be latest by monday..

Dealer not keeping his promise..
Received the Engine and chassis number but VIN number still not given to me so i cant verify weather the car is made in august or earlier.... sad.

will update tomorrow..

Well, plan to keep the 1.2... wife won't let me sell that any day, as she says she is emotionally attached to it.

It has now run 43000 Kms. How's your Palio?

I got a call today evening from my dealer, he said my punto's octroi has been paid and is in his deonar workshop; and i can go tomorrow and perform my check..

Is this the general routine for mumbai dealers (wasan)?? do i have to worry??

I booked VDI(ABS) on 08-Jul-2009 but later i got call from dealer saying that they got VDI without ABS in white color but ABS will take another two/three months then i just close the deal without ABS.

The waiting periods of Swift Vdi / Dzire Vdi s are too much. My cousin is waiting for the Dzire, they told 5-6 months. I booked Punto yesterday and delivery will be in 2-3 weeks.

Yeah they told the same thing for me... but later when i change mode of payment $$$ they delivered car early before committed date, gods know its just coincident that they got white color slot early
