Did you contact Karlsson at Bangalore or is there one in Mumbai? Could you please let me know the quotes? Thanks.

I contacted Karlsson in B'lore - he has set up a distributor in Bombay - he gave me a quote for 34k - which was a bit too much. Am going to go to Opera House tomorrow or day after - to look at a few other options.

A couple of guys in our company recently bought lineas from Wasan in Mumbai, and somehow the overall post sales experience was fair, not great, not bad, else I would have had a chance to get them to escallate to Fiat.

In their case the presales experience with Balaji was Poor - Dealer backed out of the price committed in negotiations.

Pix had been promised - sorry went on a vacation and forget net access - I was lucky to get cell phone network once in a while....

Quick update - so far I have driven about 450 kms @ an average speed of - umm - 16km/hr in Bombay traffic and have returned a fuel efficiency of 7.9 km/l - I would guess that is fair but inputs from other owners would be handy.

Driving has been fantastic; love Blue&ME. Infact, when I was driving my Swift I absentmindedly started looking for a steering mounted control. I am a bit disappointed that it does not read the SMSes from my N95 - but oh well...

My earlier car that I drove the most was the Ikon 1.6 and this feels almost sedate by comparison but not necessarily in a bad way. It is a heavier and bigger car with a smaller engine so I was expecting this - but in retrospect wish that they had added maybe 100 cc more to it.

I had dreaded about the seat coming down on its own but nothing of that sort has happened so far. I just got back to Bom - so haven't yet gotten around to doing the seat covers - will get on it in a day or two.

Once again, I regret the delay with the pics - will post them tomorrow.

Oi!

Where are the pics?

I am presuming you took the car along for the vacation.
Any FE figures from the highway?

Please remove the dealer stickers on the back.

This does not look like the RTO approved IND numberplate. Wouldn't that look better?

No sunfilm? FE on highways?
