Ford Fiesta SXI Premium - My First Car

Hi Guys, Just joined, this is my first post on Team BHP. I have booked my first car in India, Ford Fiesta SXI Premium last week. My thanks to all team bhpians who have helped me in deciding with my first car. I have been US for quite sometime and I never had a problem finding the best, let it be electronics or automobiles, too many forums and reviews. I came back to India for good 2 months back and wanted a buy a car but was very much worried how I will be able to decide on a car thats best for me. Then I stumbled upon team bhp, and boy was I in for a treat. It had everything I wanted to decide on a car. I was going through the forum for almost a month now.

Swift, Fiat Punto and Fiesta were my initial considerations and ended up with fiesta after a lot of confusion. Delivery is expected by end of october. I will write in detail after the delivery.

For now I need information on accessory shops in chennai. I am planning for the sun film, rear spoiler and any other suggestions from you guys.

which one did you book, the 1.6 petrol or the 1.4 diesel? what color did you opt for?

well yeah, to keep the chennai heat at bay, you definitely need some very good films! 3M, Llumar are right up there. Garware is pretty good and total VFM too.

we can talk about the upgrades once you drive her home, congrats again and happy waiting!!

Congrats man. After the Ikon I think Fiesta has the best steering feel. Ford (their European base) tend to have steering systems which can make a simple turn at 40 kmph enjoyable.

It`s raining fiesta on forum.I wonder what the sales figure looks like for ford for the last 2-3 month. I believe the right pricing and and a better A.S.S is making fiesta a steal.

Maintaining black Colour cars: If your car is a black one, Nairrk is the person you should talk to . He is an encyclopedia in maintaining black cars. he has owned 10 cars so far and all were black and the fiesta he has now is Black too.

So lots of support there haa !

No, not all cars were Blacky.

Last 3 cars were black - Once I found the beauty in black, I decided to stick in this colour and it continues. And ofcourse, sedans in black is more attractive and will have a stylish look whether in day time or night.

Color: Diamond White

Neck Rest and Pillows
Cigar lighter

The sales person said that this a corporate offer special pricing and I am billed directly from ford hence he will not be able to give any freebies.

I did not want dark color since my wife thought it would be dangerous during night. Silver seemed more common and Platinum felt ordinary (its just me). Also thought that the chrome OVRM goes well with white than any other color.
