I have checked about this from my dealer in the begining but he said it is not possible unless go for complete change in remote set up which will tamper with warranty. But I didnt felt any problem or uncomfortability without the beep sound ?

ABS, supposed to work during emergency /sudden braking and supposed to hear a noice during such braking (but I doubt anyone can hear the sound in such condition/situation ?). But definitely the ABS is effective and good in such situation and you will find the difference (You will see the car stops on the dot without any slippery).

According to my dealer, the stock 2DIN system is of SANYO Brand and these are made for Fiesta- and if you had to change try for similar one which will fit in the place properly? If you have any intention to upgrade the ICE then try check with some shops outside(you will have various models to select) than the dealer?
If you want to know the sound/feel of ABS function getting into action, you can do the following (caution - do it at a place where there's no traffic behind you as you would need hard braking for this):

1. drive at a speed of around 30 kmph
2. apply the brakes with full force while taking a turn at that speed
3. you would hear a screeching sound coming from front as if some metal parts are rubbing against each other.

This is the sound that I noticed on couple of occasions and was given the explanation that it's the sound of ABS coming into ply.

Eventhough I did not hear or not able to hear (considering such circumstances where you are required to apply a sudden brake), I know for sure that the ABS is working.
(as few times, I managed to stop the car on the spot 90/100kmph to '0' with the effect of sudden braking-that too without any skidding, pulling the car sideways etc).
And ABS mostly save you on the slippery surfaces and curves and you can drive with more stability in such circumstances.

Well I do trust that enough testing has already done by the company and also the previous users of the product. So I have not yet attempted to test this functionality.

Take the car to the highways, enough good samaritans are there to give you ample opportunities to test your car's ABS, EBD, handling, headlights, horn etc and your patience, conviction, sanity etc

We are living in a country where people overcrowd into a lift and the last person who got in will not be ready to move out when the lift screams overcrowded. Happened this weekend @ Spencers and I chose to walk out voluntarily even though I was well inside. Better to walk free than to sweat it out there!

with all sorts to vehicular traffic on the highways and more often than not you need to guess correctly if the tractor trolly in front of you would move suddenly towards right or left, without giving any signal for the same and you are driving in excess of 120 kmph.... you would know the value invested in ABS, EBD and airbags etc etc..

Default Need a suggestion

How would a Fiesta S in aquamarine blue look with white racing stripes? I am guessing the blue in photos attached ( this is a 2010 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 ) is almost the one.

Does anybody already have stripes on their S or intend to do it? Is paint job the only option or is a sticker job a possibility?

Anyways, what are your thoughts guys..

I havent seen anyone having such white stripes on the present S variants.

The Ford cars with its present look and style is what I like.

The above model may be liked by few but may not be the majority - this is just my finding. The alloys and all good but only the front look is not that stylish ? I may be wrong also

~~Racing Strips: Graphics expert BBS can help in visualising the effect.

There was Durasport LE in Fiesta with stripes, looked horrible though.

Prabhu, I went to the Ford service center yesterday. I saw a white Fiesta with twin dark blue racing stripes. It looked really good. White stripes on Aquarius S also should look decent. Have not seen any yet. Stickers are the way to go. I hope you already have an Aquarius S 'cos the color has been discontinued. Aquarius is slightly darker than the blue shade on the Shelby.

Default Have you experienced this?

Have you experiences this in your new Fiesta 1.6?
  1. Smell similar to that of burnt rubber after a drive. Outside the car.
  2. Car jerks when trying to drive off in 2nd gear from a speed breaker with no throttle

1. No.,Never (even today I drove around 75kms right in the noon heat
but never felt any smell?)
2. No, nothing as such so far! ( Reduce the speed and try on first
gear when going on speed breaker and see if still get the jerks?)

Default Please say you were kidding

@Gilead,

Are you serious? Do you know for sure the Aquarius blue is discontinued. I done have an S, yet. But I am planning to get a 2010 model. Chennai Ford salesguy mentioned guy he should have the prices by Jan 1st week.

Anyways, I hope they dont discontinue..

And if they do, that leaves me no choice but White. I would have preferred a black, but Mom says NO.
