Default Dream car landed - Swift Vdi (with Pics)

Finally my dream car arrived last weekend for which I have been waiting for 3 months - Swift VDI. Earlier I use to have Santro, but swift really rocks, handling is superb on my new alloy wheels.

Service from the Varun Motors, kukatpally Hyderabad was good, the manager is really courteous and took interest in making the delivery smooth although there are few hitches here and there. Take a look at few pics of my car.

Currently the vehicle is fit with below accessories:

1. Alloys Wheels (which comes with Ritz Zxi) MGA - 21000/-
2. Michelin Energy XM1+ Energy 11965/-
3. Central locking (Nippon) MGA 5400/-
4. Body cover MGA 1000/-
5. Parking sensors - REDSOL 4448/-
6. Parcel Tray MGA 1000/-
7. Mud flaps MGA 300/-

I have exchanged stock tyres for 1000/- each.

Needed your suggestion on the remaining, Please guide me, following are prices quoted a shop in minster road, Hyderabad and suggest reliable audio
installation shop :

1. Audio :
Pioneer DVH-P4150UB : 11000/-
Polk speakers : 12000/-
(db6501 for front and db691 for rear)
Cables and dampening : 2500/-

2. Sun Film :

Garware ICE cool Elite : 5800/-
Garware ICE cool shield(for front windshield) : 2800/-

3. Seat Covers:
Decided on art leather from G-Sport, Is there any site of G-sport ? or Any authorized dealer in Hyderabad so that I can look at few designs and decide. Fellow Bhpians, Please give me links of the pics of your seat covers for any Bright Red color.

4. Floor mats: Best model to choose from ?

5. Teflon and Under chassis coating : Are these required ?

Congratulations ! Prabhu, Swift Vdi has a gem of an engine. Opting for michellin tyres is good option as it gives overall better stability. Nice Red colour and pretty cool alloys too. what is the final OTR that you paid ?

Prabhu - Congrats on your buy. IMO Swift looks best in red colour. On your query about G Sport seat covers, please go through these threads:

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...price-11k.html (g-sport seat covers price! 11K)

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...at-covers.html (art leather seat covers)
In addition to G Sport, you may want to look at Autoform which is also a very good brand. All the best with your new car !

First of all, Congrats.

Buddy, you got less for your stock tyres.

Regarding front sunfilm, bargain hard as there's a good scope. Try different dealers, the film itself in amazing VFM and is effective. I'm having the same and the green shade to it is soothing.

Floor mats, the PVC ones are hot selling nowadays.

To maintain the sheen, wax the car regularly.

Congratulations on your purchase, Drive safe

For the sun film I'd recommend Llumar, they are way better than Gareware's the cost difference would not be much.

Underbody antirust coating is good and must - go for it.

But teflon coating(body) is not recommended by many TBHPians.

Cheers !

congratulations on your red swift.Do opt for underbody coating which is useful in rainy wet roads.Teflon coating isnt necessary so dont waste on that. Some interiors as well after you are done with seat covers.

Congrats on the RED BULL ! I have a white VDi

I suggest you dont go for the garware films.Lumar is far better product and would be last long.

I got my film stuck some 8-9 months back for 3800 ,Steel 20 is the model i guess. I didnt go for the wind shields because they cost 5000-5500.But they are made with ceramic compound so it second best to Vkool.

Seat Covers

I got mine done a month back or so and the cost was 6K.It is from AUTOFOAM and it is skin fit.If you want to go for the loose fit you can get one for 1800-3500.

All the best !

Congrats on the buy. Is it 4/5 alloys you got it for 21K?
1K for a tire is little less.
Happy revving.
