But Raj, the same Philips 90/100 in the showroom is 1150/-. The cost which I said (850/-) is for Philips 90/100 itself. But I don't know about Hella lamps

A little off topic. Since we are talking about bulbs, I got 90/100 Philips Extreme installed in my I10 with out touching the standard electrical fittings. The bulbs gave up within 2 months of use and had to buy new ones. Cost was Rs.130 per bulb. Then the shop guy told me about the Fossler bulbs with 6 months warranty costing 200 Rs each. The performance was pretty good until last week (5 1/2 months with no issues seen), both the bulbs gave away. I got them replaced under warranty.

This shop is on Hosur Road (near E-City entrace and just before NICE road entrance too). Dont remember the name exactly, its TOP CHOICE or TOP CARS.

@samabhi have you got an extra relay with wiring harness installed with the 90/100's or have you just plugged it into your OEM wiring harness. Because i installed my 90/100's almost a year ago with no problems so far, I am using hella relay and wiring harness to run my 90/100 without tampering the original wiring. If you are using OEM wiring they might not be able to take the load and you will have blown fuses or bulbs on a regular basis. Try using an aftermarket relay and wiring harness this does not tamper with your OEM wiring(hence no warranty issues).

~1000 bucks for 20% improvement is worth investing. I'll go for Philips 90/100 with Hella relays (like in my Accent) for time being.

Jacs, could you post comparison snaps of the light outputs before/after upgrade.

Does the Xylo have H/L beam adjuster option?

Twiny, I am yet to upgrade. May be this weekend!

Xylo has three levels of adjusting inclination of head light beam.

Hi All,

I upgraded to Philips Rally 100/90 with Super Relays (6 months warranty) from Top Cars since its very near to my place. Thay had Hellas too but he confirmed me its not original Hella (I got a shock on my Accent's Hella relays) and Super is atleast a registered company and gives good service. Absolutely no tampering of stock kit, very easy to fix and remove. Cost was 850 bucks total.

Yet to test the capability since no night driving was there after the install. I am going to Kerala this Tuesday evening, shall share the experience.

Congrats Valapad..and I must say your xylo sure looks a killer...the ski racks simply awesome.. i was wondering why Mahindra didnt have it in their E8 version as well...

But from what i had heard, it was not advisable to add (screwed in or stuck) the ski rack.. there have been episodes of customers facing leaks in such cases.

Let us know how it fares for you and by the way also how much did it cost you.

Otherwise i must say you Xylo is indeed one of the best looking one I have seen.. Congrats
