Thanks Kailash for the updates.
Everytime I look at the Punto, I marvel at how good it looks. I might be slightly biased (I recommended a Punto to someone close to me, and they are happy with the car, touchwood), but there is nothing in the market that even comes close. The Polo, maybe, it's the closest.
Slightly off-topic, but the design of the Punto reminds me of the quotes by a German designer named Dieter Rams - who is credited to have inspired Jonathan Ive (Apple's product design chief) - about good design. Here are a couple of them:
a. Good design is unobtrusive.
b. Good design is as little design as possible.
c. Good design is long-lasting.
The Punto epitomizes that.

Congrats Kailash... Punto looks very nice in white.
Drive safe whenever you are on Ghodbunder Road. I have seen so many devastating accidents on that road.
I used to go from Hiranadani Estate to my office in Goregaon via Ghodbunder. Liked the environment around that road but not the traffic :(
Anyways, Have a Good time with the Punter

Update: 9000 kms done in 4 months
Time for a update to this thread.
I have been enjoying my drive in the Punto MJD and have done 3 big highway runs in it already.
3 days - 900 kms - Ashtvinayak drive
4 days - 2100 kms - Mumbai - Goa - Murudeshwar - Goa - Mumbai
4 days - 1800 kms - Mumbai - Nagpur - Mumbai
More I drive this car, more I fall in love with it. This is an awesome highway car with its perfect handling, suspensions and road manners - nothing beats added to it the looks that will make anyone go weak in their knees.
Car is constantly giving me a mileage of 14+ in city with the highest being 17.6kms in city with 100% ac on set at 24 degrees, and on the highway run I got 18.9 for the Goa run and 21.2 during the Nagpur run.
Goa run was special for me as most of the run is on Konkan Ghats and car was a real eye opener there - well planted at ghats and never ever once did I feel that car is underpowered.
The car has opened up very well and it seems that the engine sound has reduced considerably. Also engine feels ready too be revved hard.
I have faced no issues with the car till now - touchwood. I will be uploading pictures in a while between today and tomorrow.
Mods:- kindly change the title to Update: 9000kms in 4 months
