Default The Hawk has landed - Scorpio AT with Airbags

Finally, finally after a 6 week wait the dream has made its way to the Dealer shop.

Maybe I should not say 6 week wait since this has been my intent ever since the AT was launched a year and half ago. It is just that the entire process of convincing myself, ensuring that funds were available and the toughest part - building a business case to convince the wife was really long drawn out. But it was pure pleasure to see it in all its glory on Friday at the dealer.

Not sure where I should start the story and how I should go on, but I will keep it simple and just attach photos. Please bear with the quality for (1) it is taken using a cellphone camera and (2) it had not yet been washed and cleaned once it landed - I was so impatient to see it that the dealer let me see as is.

Hi Ananth_iy,
Let me congratulate you first. This the brown colour right?
Is this a 4X4 AT? Please post few more pictures of the scorpio.
What are all the plans for the accessories?

Regards,
Vijay

Thanks Vijay,

This is a 2WD not a 4x4. It is indeed a Java Brown. I wouldn't have a Black or a White.

Have still not thought through the accessories. Have talked the dealer into giving me mats and scuff plates for free. Rest I will probably do outside - still considering sun films, bull bar, seat covers etc.

Thanks Kalinga. It's an 8-seater. Will be getting it registered on Wednesday and picking it up same evening - auspicious day I am told.

If all goes well, it will be registered this Wednesday and delivered to me on the same day. I have already seen the car in the stockyard. Didn't take my camera so no pics yet but will post on Wed for sure.

Yes Sid. 6 forward and 1 reverse. Should be a good drive and should be decent on the mileage front as well. Will update as the days go by.

Here is another picture. Not great quality because of the use of cellphone camera. You will notice that the center gear area layout itself is different - I mean even the number of cupholders and position etc from MT to AT
