Please check - as far as I know,175/80R13 will not suit the i10
the tyre size is 175/70/13, i mistakenly entered 80 instead of 70.

Hey Guys, one lunatic bus driver made a scratch in my car, i left it parked in a side, when i came back, found this;

My New White i10 Sportz!-image0187.jpg
i made it look like this after rubbing it with some wax polish, it was worse earlier.

What should i do, its been like a week since it happened, should i go for touch up painting or sticker would do(some small graphic or number)? please advice

The scratch is slightly visible from distance, but it has a bit deep impression.
I guess it not worth for painting the door?

Sad to see these scratches on your new car. I also suggest get it painted or some treatment else it would catch rust soon.

Post Awww, thats bad..

Thats really not good.
I hate all such miscreants! :P

Especially when we are riding in such a beauty!
(My bro shouts at people when they are within 1 foot radius of our car, and tells them to drive at a distance!)

Jokes apart, why dont you try the kit bought by blackasta?
have a look at his thread.
I think it would at least protect her from rust, till you go for over-paint.
best of luck ahead..
Take good care of her!

Care.

Ace.

The car clocked 6000kms yesterday,

The car was taken for a trip last month which itself contributed around 1300Kms(chennai-blore-mysore-chennai), topped her till 130kmph.

After the trip, the engine feels refined, and the braking feels better, The car gave around ~15.5-16.5 kmpl during the trip(just 10% a/c). Otherwise i'm getting around 12-13kmpl in city with 80% a/c.

Also , i have a doubt, i'm mostly engaging the gears at 3000+ rpms, will that affect my engine/gearbox?

+ves
the engine feels smooth now, power is good without a/c

-ves
the reverse gear is not getting engaged in the first attempt most of the time,
once the A/c is on there is a substantial power drop.
cornering is bad(i guess it has to do with the wheels)
headlight is poor, i'm always using the fog lamps along.

But as a whole, the car is good and i'm loving it..

1) Please shift gears at or just below 2000rpms. There will be a good improvement in mileage.

2) Replace stock headlamps with Philips Xtreme Power headlamps. They are of same rating but much brighter than the stock ones.

3) Visit this thread: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/long-t...ip-report.html (i10 kappa sportz - 1 year/16K kms ownership report)
It is sort of a treasure house of information about the i10; Headlamps, seat covers, driving styles everything is covered.

Question Abs?

I am looking for an i10 Automatic. Sportz fits the budget, but I definitely need ABS. Can ABS be added to the Sportz variant at additional cost?

Don't think so - No Indian car manufacturer till now allows 'build you car feature'.
I say go the extra mile and get the Asta - you wont regret it. (You get sunroof/airbag/remote key/alarm/auto off headlight/impact sensing door locks/fog lamps etc in addition to the sportz version.)

@blackasta, you are true about the Asta version. For an extra lakh we get all the safety features and goodies. But then, from i10 Asta AT, the i20 AT is at a itching distance (2.2 Lakhs) with more goodies.

When I bought my Santro XO in 2007, I heard about fitting ABS at additional cost. When I asked the dealer, he told that it is possible, but it is not required for Santro's power. I left it at that. So, I am guessing it could be possible for i10 also.

@Voyager- as blackasta said, i guess its not possible to add ABS to a sportz variant, if you are so particular about ABS they go for Asta.

Went to bangalore last week, ~850kms in 2 days.

My New White i10 Sportz!-dsc00319.jpg

two tank full fills, around 30ltr each.

the first fill lasted for 435kms so its 14.5kmpl,
but since it was raining too hard and some city driving in bangalore my second fill gave 425kms so its 14.16kmpl.

it would have been better but the return journey was hard with heavy raining all the way, so had to drive cautiously and slowly.

the car is now clocked at 7500kms.
