@Supercars. It has not failed. Ford has found a quality problem in it and has replaced it under warranty proactively.

@bharani

Did you manage to talk to the dealer about the Ford's replacement of thermostat is applicable over which year production's ? Is this for the 2010 vehicles or for the 2009 also. My area dealer is relatively new ghence would not be having the details, will have to prod him to check out the same. Did u see any circular from Ford regarding the same at your dealer or took the dealer's word for the same.

@ghodlur

The dealer told me that the initiate was from ford directly. They have given the vehicle VIN numbers to the dealer along with contact details. So dealer was not sure for which all batches, this problem had come up.

Why dont u mail Ford customer care. They respond quite fast.

Congrats bharanidharang on this sensible buy. Even I purchased Fiesta 1.6 SXi Moondust Silver in January 2010. I recommend you to go with Chrome side stripes, it will give your Fiesta a much more refined look. Check my thread on the below link which has some pics to get an idea of how it looks.

Cheers!

Will definitely do that. I know Ford responds quite fast, the other day I had sent them a review of first service of my Fiesta at the dealer in Thane, got an immediate reply and also a call from dealer assuring of getting the pending things done at the earliest. Unfortunately I am in UK right now and cannot approach the dealer, will do after I return.
Meanwhile I would suggest you do write to Ford about your experience regarding the thermostat replacement and ask what else in store for the Fiestians in future?

I hope you face no more "Quality Problems".

I drove the Diesel too and found the car to be really good though at some places quality can be questioned.

The Engine is very smooth and Vibration feel.

The Power Delivery is Very Linear. I did around 130 KMPH.

The Car's Suspension is very good. Big Bumps though should be taken Slowly.

The Brakes and Handling are quiet good though needless Hard Braking should be avoided.

The Seats are comfortable and the pricing of the product is good.

I am sure the Mileage is quiet good too.

Overall a Very Good Car.

Sorry for long delayed update. No breathing time from some critical work at office.

The only addition I have done is put sun control. Have put 3M all around with RE 50 on the sides, RE 70 on back window. CR 70 on the windscreen. Very happy with the work done at Balaji Agencies. Would recommend them for Sun Control in Chennai.

@mvaidy - Only Floor and Boot Mats.
