| Took delivery of my Skoda Laura 1.8 TSi (White)today. Now I may be flamed for buying a Skoda after all the horror stories of Skoda service on team-bhp. But I just fell in love with the car after the first test drive and didn't look back. The dealership out here is of a friend of mine and he has assured me the best of service. I trust them and just followed my heart. I would like to thank quite a few guys from team-bhp who helped me with the purchase viz. Siva, imp!, Ravich and above all Raavendra Just drove around for 30 odd kms or so. Its awesome!! First impressions: Great engine performance (esp after 2000 rpm), sweet sound system, enormous boot, reverse parking sensors with display a boon in the city, comfortable seats with nice lumbar support, elegant looks(personal view), superb quality of materials inside the cabin. a few negatives: Rear visibility is poor, seems under tired, mileage(quite expected as its a performance machine), absence of electrically folding ORVM's Accessories: Garware Icecool on rear and side mirrors. Got pretty late in the evening, shall post decent pics soon! |

Might interest you to know that it seems to manage a fairly decent 10.5 to 11 km/l in Mumbai ( 60:40 highway) if you stick to 6th on the long stretches even at 110 to 120. Short city stop/go traffic can be a drain 6km/l. Tyres are indeed bad. Rear visibility - parking sensors saves the day. But the sheer joy of the torque and clean and crisp handling more than makes up for all the niggles. Heres wishing you some exciting and safe drives. I guarantee you will not sit in the rear seat !. | |

| Thanks guys. @ragingbull: OTR was 13.25 @Ravich: My tyres were over inflated on delivery at an outstanding 49 Psi..brought it down to 32 all around. How much pressure are you using in your tyres? |

| BHPian | Congratulations robimahanta. I am sure you'll enjoy every moment in this car. Regardign tyre pressure, I am currently maintaining 30psi which gives an excellent ride, need to check the impact on mileage. 31 is not bad either. |

| BHPian | Congratulations, Robimahanta. Enjoy the new ride. Do you have 15" wheels or have you replaced them with 16"? Cheers, |

| Congratulations Robi!! its one beast of a machine (from our choices in India, in another world, we may be posting about the Lancer Evo we bought at this price !!); I keep my pressure at 34 PSI, works well for me. If you get a chance, upgrade to 16" alloys, they make all the difference in the world |
