Default My New Black beauty - 220 BHP 320d Highline

Well it was a difficult decision to sell off my 4 year old highly modified swiftt , but the prospect of a nearly new 320d was irresistible . Its been two months since i have brought her in and is enjoying every bit of time with her .

Mod done already:

220bhp (claimed) superchips remap ( stock 177bhp)

Bilstein B16 Ridecontrol electronic suspension that helps me shift from comfort to sport on the fly ( this was a dream come true) . Car is lowered by 20mm at the friend and 10mm at hte back. (No issues with clearance yet)

Spoiler , Exaust chrome finisher .
The already exciting 320d is now well into thrill a minute league. acceleration is sooooo quick that its like a 530d (almost) , Handling is flawless too , not that the original setup was bad.

Mileage varies from 9 to 14 depending on driving style.
0-100 approx 7.4 sec (with stopwatch) tested over 5 runs in sport mode
top speed done so far 228kph on L&T road coimbatore. Was willing for more but ran out of road.

will post a few snaps later . Any questions are welcome.

WOW! fantastic man! really nice to see luxury car owners pampering their vehicles like this! Please post pics of your ride!

What tires are you running? rims? You should consider fitting an M3 hood with it's "power bulge" - it'll look fantastic!

cheers

Congrats on the 320d ! If I can afford it , this will certainly will be my next sedan.

How are the noise levels at high speeds ?

Won't the mods invalidate the warranty ?

Sounds like a good buy! Congrats. When you say 'nearly new', is it an '09 model?

Its a 2009 320d Highline. got it when it had done 12k only. tyres are stock 225/50/16 runflats. regarding noice ...... tyre noise is present at all speeds but otherwise NVH is exceptional . the profile ficture is before the spoiler and exaust.
Regarding warranty ...... the suspension has 1lakh kilometer warranty so i dont need BMW warranty . The remap can be restored to stock with a bluefin device before giving the car for service . (Just check out at superchips.co.uk......They come with a lifetime warranty)

Congratulations! The car looks brand new - as if just out of the showroom. 12K kms is nothing. Great buy!
If you don't mind sharing - How much did you pay for her and where did you buy her from?
Enjoy the ultimate driving machine!

Congratulations !! What an awesome buy. Facelift with the revised suspension setup and the 177bhp engine is perfect, I'm sure you got a good deal on it too. Great pictures as well. Car looks hot in black.

From a Swift to a 320d. Thats quite a big leap. Congratulations on the new BMW nirmal and I see that you have modified it already Looking forward to read some performance reports from you in this thread.

Another suggestion. How about some nice after market alloys to go with that black colour?

Drive safe.

She's a beauty! Thanks for the photos

btw, was your car in an Autocar/Overdrive issue (can't remember) on petes tuned cars? There were three Skoda's and a black 320d with bilstein setup etc. Is this the same one?

Well i got it for 27lakhs including BMW secure insurance . Took the car from cochin dealership. I am registered Ist owner of the car. The car on Autocar is a 2008 Model 320d , it has a very similar setup as mine.

After market alloys have to be really good to replace the stock one. may be later .
