Oh, I didnt know that.

No Da, I was so caught up in work didnt bother to go near the Tass. Besides they 'may' have declined a camera inside their premises, especially for a warranty claim.
Hi svsantosh,

Did you get alloys for your vehicle yet ? I have done ICE. Thinking of getting the seats done from Ovion, Tints and lastly Alloys. Please recommend about the alloy, Prerana motors are giving me set of 5 for 11k change.

Mine is a unique case. My home is 7 Kms outside the KA border (in TN), around 30Kms from Bangy, so practically I never get caught/fined for the 'TN' thing, I just show them my RC Address and DL address and walk away!!

BUT - if you are using a TN car in bangy - DONT flash a KA DL, make sure you have a TN license and say you are here for work/etc for few months... All this if you want a easy way out, else, if you are going to be a permanent bangy resident, get a NOC from TN and get your car re-registered.

I think search the accessory market (JC road, etc) for nano alloy choices, must be better than the SINGLE option in a TASS. What ever you do, spend at least 1500-2500 on the front windscreen SUN film, it helps a LOT. I got the cheapest GARWARE fronty sunfilm.

PS - car completed 15000Kms yesterday without any hiccups

Hi to All you NANO owners!

Was your Engine Oil changed in the first service , or was it changed after 10K.

I wish to know what exactly was done in first service.

Hey svsantosh Congrats on crossing 15k hiccup free Nano experience!!

BTW could you elaborate on the "front windscreen SUN film" part? I am not sure what you meant by that, can you really fit a SUN film on the front windscreen , if you can, wont that effect visibility during night driving? Your feedback much appreciated.

In your owners manual, the 1st service and 2nd service steps is mentioned - the TASS follows it per that book. No oil service/change in 1st and 2nd, only in 10K service the oil is changed. But you can ask/demand a oil change at 5K kms, it is cheap!!

Also, dont forget the time line associated with services, it is not only the Kms that matter.

Unlike regular brown/black window/rear glass films, the front ones are 70% transparent and cut out the heat by at least 30% (cheap ones), goes upto 70% (or 90% not sure) - I got garware ice cool (ice shield?) on my front from JC road, around 2500Rs. I got cheated, it is only worth around 1300Rs if purchased from a dealer... so check carefully before getting it done. It is worth it for hot days.

I am pretty sure the front right wheel bearing is kaput, just not getting time to visit the TASS. Would these be covered in warranty, in general?

You can easily get the front screen tint fitted, fit the one with 30% heat reduction, it will not affect night visibility.

I have fitted ecodrive sun film which cost me 1500k with 3 yr warranty.

Oil was not changed during the first service for my Nano; it will be done during the 10K service according to the advisor at TASS

I have been advised by various people to get this done outside the rainy season, apparently for better longevity. You may want to clarify the exact reason though, do let me know if you get a satisfactory answer!

The process to fit the screen is heat press, so as long as you dont get a bubble ( which is also covered under warranty ), it should be ok to get that fitted in rainy season.

Also since the screen is fitted from inside, i am not sure how rains will affect it anyways.

Default Tata nano CX - 17,500Kms

Long time update was due...

Currently completed 17500Kms... No visit to TASS after the last 10K kms service. Going strong, best to ignore all small noises/squeaks/niggles/etc!!!

Got a small mod done, a minda headlight wiring harness, relay and a pair of 100/130Watt hella H4 bulbs... Superb illumination!
