GTO, After your *pre-worshipped* experience I dont think one will spend ~8L on a New i20AT, when you can get a *P-W* Civic Auto for the same ball park figure...

1,600 kms! You bought a brand new car man! Congratulations. Lovely white alloy wheels. The previous owner was surely an enthusiast (a BHPian? I'm pretty certain I've seen this car on the forum).

These pics are better. Just look at the leather - I think the previous owner didn't remove those plastic covers on the seats for 2.5 yrs

Nice pictures there!
I think the good condition of the leather is due to car interior treatment.

Default Buying used is smart

Happy to see another "pre-worshipped" deal.

I totally agree that pre-owned is total VFM. The negligible changes made on late model vehicles really does not justify the price difference between buying new from the dealer and buying used.

I bought a June 2007 Hyundai Tucson in immaculate condition for 10 lacs and I am really happy with my used vehicle.

I tried hard if I can point out any thing in the car...and finally I got it, the plastic floor mats are missing!

A doubt. Doesn't the "V" have chrome door handles? My "S" has chrome.

V has chrome on the door handles, but on the 1/3rd portion (top). You can't make it out if you are looking from down to up

It's very much there.
You can see that in the 3rd last picture.

They look great, partly due to lack of use (only 7.4 Ks remember?) and partly due to Honda's refurbishing treatment. Look at the leather seats on my 5 year ol' C220 here (Interior Detailing Review : Rhyme N Rhythm). Amazing what a good detailing job can achieve.

Killer price!! I am a fan of the Tucson for its balanced ride & handling, and that cracker of a diesel engine. How about a full ownership report thread (including the buying experience)?

There is no doubt about the value of Used Cars.

However, based on what little research I have done in the User Car Market, I have come to realise that more expensive cars depreciate much faster than lower value cars, when you look at percentage depreciation. So technically speaking, a brand new civic will depreciate faster than a brand new alto. This implies that when looking for a 8lac+ car, its definitely worth looking at the used car market, because you can take advantage of the higher rate of depreciation. But if you are going for a low value car, you may better off with a brand new one. Ofcourse, exceptions can always exist.

I guess that this has more to do with the fact that smaller cars have a higher demand as they are accessable to more people & are actually even preferred by more people in India who are more FE minded (Average kitna hai?).
