The average mileage I have got (calculated over ~4700 KMs) is 15.45 KMPL. Around 1800 KMs on highway and rest in Bangalore city. Maximum I have got is 21.65 KMPL on a highway trip.

@Gandhi - Thats a real good mileage you are getting.

@ Naveen - You were right. Tyre pressure was around 40. Got it lowered today.

@All - REmote lock problem got rectified on its own. Maybe a door wasn't properly shut and so the door red light was permanently on and hence i was having problems with remote lock.

New problem : Have noticed a very faint noise on the co driver's door on certain occasions,of late.

Anybody has an idea..

If it's a little tick-tick irritating sound, it is from the seat-belt assembly where a screw is not fitted properly. Take the car to your MASS and they will fix it in 5 minutes.

That's good. You can expect your FE to be somewhere between 17 and 18.

Hi Gandhi, I would be delighted if i do get that mileage in a petrol car.

Whats your method to measure FE using the digital gauge in Ritz. Thanks

I use the tankful to tankful method to calculate the FE. My guestimate for your FE was simply based on my observations on how the digital gauge behaves.

Hey All,

Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

Ritzy doing fine with around 380 Kms on odo.

Ride has improved a lot after lowering the tyre pressures. FE - yet to average out and arrive at a correct figure.
Rattling noise at left door - faint noise, though - would get it checked during first service.

Impressed with AC quality, didnt think it would be that effective in Hyderabad summers in position 1.

Went for a shopping trip this sunday - boot space enough for a 2-3 week's grocery for a family of 2.

Will keep you updated.

New problem with the Ritzy.

Digital gauge - Have driven around 540 Kms after the first tank full with the last 2 markings on the digital gauge still on.

Yesterday when I started to office, saw the first 3 markings appear and the third marking soon dissapeared after driving a short distance.

After around 5 minutes of more driving, saw the third marking come to life again, only to dissapear 1 minute later.( all straight road so no question of fuel rolling over to one side of the tank while going uphill/downhill)

Whats happening?

That's not a problem at all. It behaves the same as any other fuel gauges. Just because it's digital, it has to either show the bar or not. There is no middle way. Fuel gauges are never accurate. Don't rely on them heavily. They should be treated as a guidance and not accurate measure.

This problem seems to be common to all Suzuki's !! (2 and 4 wheelers included) Even the digital fuel gauge on my Suzuki GS150R bike exhibits the same behavior. One minute, the bar's there and the next minute its gone, only to re-appear a few moments later.

That is perfectly normal. When the fuel reaches a level where a bar has just dropped or is about to drop, this would happen for a few kms. It's the same with the analogue gauge too, only this its too difficult to notice it in the analogue meter.

Default Rit'z's fuel tank capacity & Drop in power with AC on

Digital gauge : 10 markings. capacity - 45 Litres

So, each marking indicates - 4.5 L

Till now no marking has become dull, that is,all are glowing black which means even the first marking (4.5L) hasn't been used up yet.
Fuel Tank Capacity of Ritz is 43 Litres & not 45

My Ritz Petrol is bit more than a month old & has done over 1000 kms so far. I can feel drop is power when the AC is switched on. Its not very steep but its very much there.

Nevertheless, congrats on your new buy. Enjoy!
