+1 to that. Turbo charged motors usually return better FE, compared to NA siblings. I know of vRS's returning 10 kmpl+ when driven with a light foot.

Cheers

Oh come on!! I understand our culture's obsession with deals, but which freshly launched car ever had discounts?!

As the prices are very close to ANHC and Vento, i have my own doubts, on how many takers will FIAT have at that price point.
The T-Jet isn't intended to be a volumes car, rather it's specifically targetted to driving enthusiasts. It does deliver, and how.

Finished a tank in 320 kms, and that included highway driving. It's impossible to drive the car with a light foot...you just want to work that sweet engine.

Yes, I know you are looking forward to my review. Please stand by, it's currently being compiled (quality takes time ). Will have it up in a couple of days.

That t-jet engine has had an adverse effect on my santro's driving style. Its just returned 7.6 kmpl in recent fill. That engine is just addictive.

320km/45l = 7.12 km/l

GTO, I guess you had much fun red-lining Fiat Linea T-Jet.

IIRC fuel tank capacity of Fiat Linea is 45l. Correct me if wrong.

Cool. Agreed quality report takes time for compilation. Keeping my eyes wide open for this much awaited review. By the it would be great if a comparo between Vento and City is done. Am I asking too much?

320 kms on tankful, makes it sound like a guzzler. But this T-jet was never meant to driven with a light food.

By the way a suggestion GTO, hope you don't mind. The reviews would be complete with the official mileage figures (not ARAI numbers) from the Team BHP Tests and reviews. May be of lesser importance to the enthusiasts but nevertheless an important aspect to the masses.

The way the engine is described makes my mouth salivate.
At the same time good to see the linea interiors being improved. The punto90 interiors reviewed elsewhere here took me aback at the appalling panel gaps.
But the steering boss seems to have a big gap.

I fully agree with you. It is going to be interesting to see how easy it is to drive in city traffic.
- There is a hard acceleration on reaching around 2000 rpm.
- Clutch is extremely light.
Its definitely good for acclerating hard but the above combination could require a bit of adjusting to drive in city traffic.

Booked a Tuscan Wine yesterday. Cant wait to get my hands on it.

I hope even below 2000rpm there is good usable torque for city driving.

My 1.4 FIRE just feels dead below 2000

@Zipzapzoom- "My Car" is an on-board system diagnostics and monitoring system or something. There is a 7 micro-processor based Controlled Area Networking(CAN) interface.

Basically, you can configure the car's settings in My Car.

Features of My Car. It controls and displays the following on MID:
- Distance To Empty(DTE)/Range
- Trip distance
- Average Fuel Consumption
- Instantaneous Fuel Consumption
- Average speed
- Travel time(total time for which engine has been running so far)
- Set Up Menu to configure the following:
  • Audio display on MID(song being played or radio station being played)
  • Programmable Speed limit
  • Programmable auto door lock activate/deactivate
  • Time and Date settings
  • Trip B on/off
  • Selecting Units(for distance, consumption and temperature)
  • Language- Total 9 languages
  • Buzzer Volume
  • Button volume
  • Passenger Airbag Control(for Emotion Pack only)

Congrats on the booking. I thing this will be the first T-Jet on T-Bhp. Nice choice of colour as well. As much as you are waiting for the car, i'm sure every one is waiting for a nice ownership report as well. Keep us updated.
