Default My new Ford Figo ZXI diesel

I am feeling very happy to inform that I have finally received delivery of my Figo. I had sold my Opel Corsa and was looking for a good hatchback. I was confused between Hyundai i10 and Ford Figo. After test drive of both following observations were made.

Hyundai i10-:

1. I felt the space inside was not enough. It could carry only 4 people in comfort.
2. It had not diesel option. I was wanting a diesel as it will be more economical than petrol in the long run.
3. The engine was good and peppy.
4. I felt that it had body roll also.

Due to these I did not went further with it.

Ford Figo initial impressions-:

1. It had more space as compared to i10.
2. Diesel variant was also available.
3. Its engine was also good and very little amount of body roll was present.
4. Insulation is very good. Their is not engine noise inside the cabin and neither any vibration.
5. Doors are very solid and close with a nice thud.
6. The boot space is great for a hatchback.
7. The music system provided with it has great sound quality.
8. Gear knob is good and feels good to hold.
9. The steering is very nice and responsive.
10. The rear styling I feel could have been improved.
11. The space at the rear is surprisingly great. And that too in the front.

So I opted for Figo.

Petrol or Diesel?

As both petrol and diesel were available I had to make a choice. Either go with petrol or Diesel. After reading many reviews I found that diesel was better to drive and its engine was more responsive. The diesel engine was more powerful so I went with diesel.

The fuel economy of diesel was much better than diesel. Petrol had a fuel economy of 10kmpl and diesel had 14kmpl. This was a major factor for going with diesel.

Dealer Experience -:

The staff was very courteous. They answered our queries very patiently. The car was delivered to us yesterday. On the day of delivery they clicked our photo with the car and offered us a bouquet. Then they explained all the functions of the car.

Then we moved out of the showroom and straight away went to a temple. The colour I have chosen is squeeze. I had a choice for the dashboard colour. I opted for ebony as coral was not of my taste. Though car looks very good in coral colour but I had inclination towards black.
I loved its driving and the responsiveness of the engine.

congrats on your Figo HappyRoadie !! Figo D is sure a true VFM car. I would still have recommended to pitch in a little extra and go for Titanium to get the ABS and Airbags. As they say "Safety First" !!

Waiting for the pic of your ride :-)

Drive Safe !

Congrats on a great buy. I believe that if you have to buy a Figo, it must be the diesel variant. Very good choice. That AC in it is an absolute chiller and its perhaps the most fun to drive car in its segment, almost as good as the Punto.

Hey!! Congrats on your new drive. Its raining Figos in TBhp

I visited Erode today and saw many many Figos. My colleague who resides in Erode says that many of the people he knew are buying a Figo over a Swift!!

Congratulations on the new car.
The pictures look good too.
How is the initial driving experience?
What was the DTE reading you got on the first tank full?
Is the bluetooth working fine?

I too drive a Figo Titanium, in white, and I'm quite happy with it!

@Indizen010 Driving is very good. Till now I have not tried using bluetooth so cannot tell about that.
