Alright.

The scuff plates looked like the illuminated one. That's the reason why I ended up getting confused.

Congrats on the car. I'm sure you will have loads of fun driving this car.
The T-Jet that i test drove had scuff plates with T-Jet on them and red backlighting. Those looked killer..!

Madhukar,

Congratulations for the Tjet. A Beatiful car that has awesome road manners. The Tjet is just the icing on the cake. I am pretty sure that this is the coolest car to own in it's class.

If Tjet would have launched a year back, who knows, my choice would have been different.

Post some good resolution photos. Enjoy your car to the max.

Cheers
Pratim

Great car, and awesome color. Never like beige shade before, but this one looks majestic. Congratulations!

Brilliant choice. Just drove a T-jet and I am completely floored by its performance. T-Jet is high on my wish list now.

2 days back did a 600 kms drive to tirupati.
3 of us went in the car.
It was awesome just tooo good. The luxury sems too good for a 10l car. The drive was thr best. I did not cross 80-90 but still it felt i was at 50 and i can push it much harder.
In a few cases the braking was instant when i used to miss the humps. While climbing the hills not even once i went to 2nd gear. Went up the hill in 20 mins +. And there is no roll whatsoever. My bil drives a vitara and for him it was a welcome change. Hard to believe it is not selling. I can only hope people will learn :-)
Thiz fri going to pondy. Will update after i come back.

@breezydrive - the spare is also a 16 inch alloy..
the spoler looks good but i dunno if i will go for it...

Came back from the pondicherry trip !!
Totally covered about 850 kms on the T-Jet !!
As vinay_ss has mentioned in one of the forums, this car is for the highway!!

Few highligts:
1) Touched 160, though only for a few kms. Did not feel any difference, could have easily pushed more but did not feel
2) Took some curves(not the ghat types, but the ones on the highways) at 120-130. handled well.
3) The acceleration is quite good on the 5th also, if you push the pedal hard.
4) On good roads the mileage i got was about 14. The speed maintaned was between 80-100. (took the krishnagiri, vellor, kanchi, thinidvanam, pondy route)
5) On the way back on the bad road got a mileage of about 11.6. The average speed would have been around 40. For about 100 kms, every 3 kms is virtual stop to negotiate the potholes.(pondy-tindivanam-tiruvannamalai-krishnagiri-blr)
6) The ODO stands at 2300 kms.. 700 kms to go for the first service.
7) On the bad roads there is some squeak noise near the left front door and near the rear right door.

Overall it felt a very safe car to drive at high speeds. In my previous car(Baleno) I somehow felt otherwise at speeds above 120.
Fantastic car..no regrets whatsoever !!!!!!

hey madhukar,
first of all your car looks awesome! The linea Tjet is anyday better than the vw vento. Great decision man. Congrats! And the color you chose looks really good.
I agree with breezydrive, the spoiler looks great. You should get one installedon your car. Apart from that the car looks really really good.
Drive safe and enjoy your TJET.
Cheers.

I am still to come out of baleno mode. so taking those humps carefully. but none of them scraped. there were really bad ones on the way back. baleno scrapes even at very very low speed.

Hey Madhu! Thanks for the drive buddy! I really enjoyed driving your JET while my Jet is away from Bangalore. I loved the paint finish of our Jet. Will surely contact those polishing guys for my JET too.
