Default VW Polo TDi comfortline

It started in the month of June 2010. I was planning to upgrade my Zen for sometime. I always liked Palio very much, I liked the looks and feel of the car but the resale value always worried me alot .Then came the damaka offer and the my palio dream seem to come true. I booked the car. After few days i came to know that Fiat was not going to deliver the palios.

After hearing this i thought that i should upgrade to a Punto. I took delivery of the car. All about the car delivery experience is written in this link
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...-autozone.html (I paid 5 Lacs to Fiat India to beat me up(JOSHI AUTOZONE))

After such a wonderful experience at JOSHI AUTOZONE I promised myself to never buy a Fiat again.

So after this i went car shopping again. I looked at the various models available in my budget.

After alot discussion i booked a POLO TDi trendline but the waiting period was about 6 months. but one day i got a call from the dealer that i can get a silver tdi comfortine
i completed all the formalities and took the delivery of the car on 8 October.

initial impressions on polo Tdi
Simple, elegant looks
Excellent build quality
Classy interior
boot opening is good
Braking can improve i dont feel safe
Steering very light
seat fabric gets dirty very easily
some turbo lag is present

Dealership experience: I found that the people at swami automobile were very helpful but.Lapses on there part were mainly due to lack of support from VW . I will be happy to deal with them again in future . Also I would recommend them to my friends and family.

Let me be the first to congratulate you!
The car looks sleek in silver - and nice alloys complement the look.
Are those dunlop tires? Is Dunlop making tires in India again? or have I been missing something?
Also - have you upsized?
P.S: Its nice that you have left the TATA-FIAT fiasco behind and moved on.

Congrats on the Polo with gorgeous wheels to complement the understated looks. Remove that "diesel" sticker from the fuel tank cap.

manikjeet, Congrats on your Reflex Silver Polo! Both of us have the same color car.

Pls get art leather seat covers if you want to avoid heartbreak.

Also I would recommend the Jopasu duster for your car as it minimizes washing the car to once a week.

Hey manikjeet , sorry for bumping an old thread however ,
We have almost finalized on buying the very same car you have , a 1.2 Tdi Comfortline .
As it has been almost an year since you have got your polo , do you mind sharing a brief ownership experience ,including the good bits and the bad bits , the average and other such stuff ??

Thanks in advance

P.S . I know its about 12 months too late , but still Congrats on your polo :P

Hey Manikjeet, I have a small query. I have bought a 2011 December polo diesel comfortline. The electric windows (driver side and the rear passenger) do not have night illumination in it. Neither does the driver side electric window have one-touch operation. My query is, Is it same with your car? When I inquired with dealership, they told me that these features (electric window button illumination and one-touch operation) are only available with Highline model.
