Dear ZMG, i made a visit to get the wiring checked at TASS.
And i am glad i did so.

The accesory guy had done the wiring ( which was safe ) but not in the correct way.

He had tapped autocop wires ( which do not go through a fuse )
Also earlier i had to completely turn the ignition key to switch on my HU.

The TASS guy rectified all these and connected the HU to the socket.

TATA NANO definately comes with a SOCKET for MUSIC SYSTEM

The accesory guy was unable to find that socket ( Since in 2012 Nano that socekt is easily visible while in older models it is hidden near HVAC system ).

So advise to all you guys trying to fit music system from outside - Locate that hidden socket first with the help of TASS.

Now HU is wired correctly to the music system socket.
And HU starts on half key.

I recently did my longest road trip in Nano ( In which it did almost 2000kms ).

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/travel...ples-more.html (Saurashtra Road Trip: Sasan Gir, Beaches, Temples and more)

It has now crossed 18K mark, looking forward to add the older design glove boxes and a armrest if possible.

I have removed the parcel tray completely since this helps me put luggage behind ( rather than lifting the 2 threads and pulling down the rear seat )

Since i do a lot of highway driving, i am planning to fill nitrogen.

Hey! Any update on the li'l hatch? We are considering the Nano e-max (CNG variant) for my brother. Would you recommend the car? We would like to keep the car for at least 4 years (about 60K kms on the odo). Since this would be his first car, it should be a rather worry free experience.
Cheers!

Almost 2 years! since I updated this thread.
Well to be very Frank, I was abroad and hence was unable to drive my lil Nano much.

My car now stands at 32k kms and there have been absolutely no issues till date. Car is now 5 years and 5 months old and has held up very well.
There are hardly any rattles and squeaks and tyres are still in good condition.

I recently bought home a Baleno and that's when I realized how hard the steering was all these years
Tata Motors service has been excellent - have been taking her to Concorde Baner - Pune on most occasions.

Fuel efficiency has been decent, averaging 13-14 in city and 20-22 plus on highways.
I will post pictures of my Nano soon.

Sure go for it buddy
Its a capable machine for long road trips. My longest one being Pune-Jamnagar-Pune, almost 2k kms! and I have a thread for it as well

My little one who is 1 year old, does not give My Baleno a second look, but she loves her Nano
And my wife still prefers Nano , since its very easy to get in and out of the car with baby in hand.
She is finding it difficult to adjust to lower seating in Baleno as well

I am having an intermittent headlight connector issue, where in one of the headlights don't work.
It does work when we try and shake connector.

Have been to TASS twice, all they do is spray some WURTH branded chemical and fix it back.I am not sure if moisture is the culprit here but will keep observing.

Nano crossed magical figure of 33333 yesterday. Headlight issue has vanished on its own!
I haven't posted pics of my car at this age , which is 5 years plus 7 months. Will do the needful soon.

Nano is now due for tyre replacement. Planning to go for Bridgestone B290.
Had my front brake shoes replaced and Power window switch replaced.

Service from Baner Concorde has been great. Power steering has become smooth and engine note has become silent. Biggest plus has been AC, it is working like charm in almost 38-39 deg hot weather that we have here in pune.

I am sorry for the blunder, yes indeed it does not have power steering.
It was rock hard before service, but now the effort needed has reduced.

Have been looking at too many ad's for Nano twist in OLX

Which pair of tyres are you replacing ? Rear ones, I guess. Mine have done 50500 + kms and look good for another 10K more ! The MRF ZECs are good for that matter. Preliminary enquiries suggest CEAT Milaze rear ones cost Rs 1980/- each with a three year replacement warranty, as also GOOD YEAR AT Rs 2190/- each, here at NEW DELHI,Dwarka.
