First was at Forest Hills, second could have been taken anywhere in the forest. Evening, just before the sunset. Strange lights due to the overcast sky and peeping sun.

Thanks Sach. If by PS you mean Photoshop, well, I don't even have it. But I have been teaching myself post-processing in the recent past using GIMP and Nik SW, and yes, it does make a difference.

Here are a few of my usual photos - with some processing - that made it into the 500px 'Popular' list in a day. You would like the Cat photos

Thanks man - I like all your photos and not only the cats. Somehow they are so neat and clean and polished. My pics never get that "sophistication" Loved it and have voted for some as well (got tird after a while )! I am also uploading a couple of pictures on 500px, check them out.

Thanks Sachin . You should upload some of your tiger photos.

An elephant portrait, and an elephantscape (made that one up).

Brilliant image, at least for me! Did this fill up the frame or is it cropped? You should print this out big. But I remember saying about image border and frames, and online images do look good without frames.

Thanks adc. This is slighly cropped - but I could have filled up the entire frame if I had wanted to - I was 30 feet away. Shot in the Nilgiri forests.

Quite a few photos to print if I start doing so - especially elephants and tigers. Maybe once when I shift my house I will think of printing

Right now I prefer to add a white border to the images, still experimenting with that.

Nilanjan,
This is one of my favorite threads in T-BHP. I was eagerly following your adventures, stories & photos from outside as a guest user. I really enjoy reading your experiences in Nilgiris. But lately you have stopped updating this.

I wish you give a fresh lease of life for this thread. I even wish to join you and bison on a trip to Masinagudi.

Planning another long roadtrip in October. Most likely will be roaming around Central India. Was thinking of Himalayas again but not enough time - doesn't make sense to spend just a few days after driving 3+3 = 6 days back and forth from Bangalore.

Tadoba once again? Great!
Infact (as mentioned earlier) I really enjoyed reading your travelogues of Nilgiris than your Kumaon visit.

Another visit to Tadoba would be interesting in all respects. At times, envy you!
