We had dinner from the hotel. Food is nothing great to boast about here. Very lethargic restaurant team. Needs much more in terms of service.

We called it a day by 21:00 hours. A very long day considering we were travelling right from the previous day afternoon without proper sleep.

Thanks ampere. It seems everyone has something to do with Rajasthan Please correct and add wherever required as I progress with the log.

The short trip to Rajasthan had left us craving for more, and there is already another plan on the table. Only thing is when it will happen?

No wonder Rajasthan is the most visited state in India. Such is the charm of this state

Day 02
24th December 2011
Mandawa - Fatehpur - Deshnok - Bikaner

The story goes like this. In early days the artists who had travelled far and wide got so many ideas in their mind and made a logical mix of the same on these walls.

Look at Rama and Sita being taken in a car

Size: 549.4 KB

Look at the big mansions
Name: DSC_0075.jpg
Views: 1271
Size: 562.2 KB

The painting on the wall
Name: DSC_0076.jpg
Views: 1212
Size: 435.4 KB

Each painting has its own inspiration, if I were to catalogue it all, then I would really get a job in itself... But that itself would be an interesting venture to embark upon one day!

The beauty of Shekawati area is that, there are not much touristy crowd and if you are inclined with these kinds of interests, you can spent a lot of quality time undisturbed in your quest.

Unfortunately all other places in Rajasthan had a lot of crowd, especially since it was December the peak touristy season.
